The Big East is known as a good basketball conference, with many many good basketball players. ... Right?

Kevin Jones from WVU led the Big East in both scoring and rebounding this season, ... a very impressive accomplishment.

And yet was not voted League MVP for the season.

Only twice previously has any player led the BE in both scoring and rebounding. They were both named league MVP.

Let's be honest, this is because WVU is leaving the BE.

One coach did not even vote for Kevin Jones to make 1st team BE. He made first team, but it was not unanimous.

What a shame to take this award from a great kid, who did everything you could ask of a college athlete, .. just because you were taking your "pansy" frustrations out on his school.

Of course it is. It's the same reason why Nebraska got the ref screw job several times late last year in football, why A&M and Missouri got the same a couple times this year and why Missouri will get screwed out of several player awards this year in basketball.

Firstly, .. this is about Big East Player of the Year, .. and not is Marquette better than WVU.

And secondly, .. everyone has their own opinion of what sucks and what doesn't suck, .. but you will have a hard time getting anyone to agree with you that WVU sucks in basketball.
