I'm wondering if this was an anticipated event. I wonder if they do this frequently during a certain time of the year.

Whales have been known to beach themselves too. Most of the time they do it right before they die though.

I've never seen a dolphin up close but they heavier than all hell.

I was totally expecting them to put on a little "thank you" show. ..or is that whales? I don't know. Very cool video, though.

there would have to be a LOT of sharks out there to scare that many dolphins away.

read some of the comments, and the more coherent ones talked about how subs and ships with strong sonar systems may be causing this problem.

Dolphins kill sharks...only guess would be an orca/killer whale.

They were probably all male dolphins coming in to check out the local talent in their swimwear!

It's simple evolution. In a few Million years give or take these creatures will return to the land fron wince their ansisters came. If we stop dragging them back in to the water that is...
