I love how it keeps getting reported that Ingram ran a 4.66. His official time was 4.79.

The bust factor is ridiculously high on his guy IMO.

After reading an article posted by Tex, I guess neither of these times can be considered "official."

The guy was very inconsistent his senior year.
He went a month between sacks.
Pass.

I think he's going to be a pretty decent player, but nothing to rent your clothes off about if we pass on him. I think he's a back-third of the 1st round type player.
I also wonder if he'll stuggle with weight issues as he moves forward as a professional because he's a bit of a chubster. Not saying he will, but he has that body type.

I really do think he'll be available when Dallas comes on the clock, and I think they will pass.

I just dont see any way hes superior as on OLB prospect in the NFL over Nick Perry. Perry is taller, heavier, and more athletic. Ill take my chances on him if we go OLB at 14.

Perry is best suited with his hand down as a 43 DE, even more specific in scheme that runs the "wide-9."
He simply doesn't have the hips/agility to play on the outside as a linebacker. Perry may be faster in a straightline than Ingram, but Ingram has the athletic ability to play as an OLB.
3-cone -
Ingram: 6.83
Perry: 7.25
Short shuttle -
Ingram: 4.18
Perry: 4.66
It's also worth noting that Perry has gone on record to say he would prefer playing in a 43 at DE. I think the kid knows his own strengths and weaknesses.

I think Ingram would be Dallas' first option but, as many have already stated, he will/should be gone by the time Dallas picks. I think they will go DE.

Don't see Melvin as being chubby but he's definitely a tweener. He slimmed down for the combine. And he's faster than 4.7+. He's more a high 4.6 guy. I do agree I have some reservations about him, too. But he will be versatile and I think Rob could use him.

Ingram is my first choice as well but he'll be gone.

If Spencer ends up signing a multi-year deal, drafting Ingram would make very little sense.
Ingram isn't a passrush specialist; I don't see his sack-ceiling (I just said that...) as anything anymore than what Spencer is producing now. Perhaps 6-8 sacks a season. Part of that is because I don't see him as this dynamic true passrushing threat and also because in this scheme, Ware is the primary guy who is going to be rushing the passer on most downs. I don't see what a rotation of Spencer and Ingram would accomplish.
I'm not altogether against drafting Ingram, but I don't think he's quite the no-brainer fit a lot of folks seem to think he is.
Since he took over the Cowboys, Jerry has always said his 1st-rounder needs to be an impact player.
I still think the team will go OG, DL, or a passrushing OLB ala Whitney Mercilus in the 1st round.

I like Ingram, but only if Spencer is not resigned. Just a note on the guy, he actually was the starting point guard on his high school basketball team and on the "hands team" at SC. He would be a very capable replacement for Spencer imo.
