Peyton Manning (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1493/peyton-manning) is making his first free-agent visit on Friday, spending time with the Broncos.
Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen report that, before Manning returns to Miami, he’ll visit at least one other team.
The Cardinals (https://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/status/178194769770590208).

I can see it now as Peyton starts to leave.
Manning: Ok Larry you can let go of my leg, come on man
Fitzgerald: but I don't want to, don't leave me here with Kolb, take me with you.

if you ask the sports radio personalities here in Phoenix all they have to do is mention Fitzgerald's name and Peyton will immediately sign the contract
if he wants to win...obviously the choice is AZ
if he wants good coaches...obviously the choice is AZ
if he wants good players....obviously the choice is AZ
if he wants to golf...obviously the choice is AZ
seriously...these are actual quotes i have had to listen to on the radio out here

AZ is a great place for him. The culture and the HC are a good fit for a meticulous player like Manning. He'd have a great WR and a good defense there. The only open question is how he'd work with a greenish coordinator in Mike Miller, who I don't know anything about one way or another.

To be honest, I haven't been this surprised that a quarterback got released since the cops let Ben Roethlisberger go.

Without a doubt this is where he should land if he wants another chance at a Superbowl, Manning to Fitzgerald will be nuts.

..........I think this is where he ends up IF they pony up: they've been cheap with everyone but Fitz over the years: plus it's inside which is where he's use to playing. One more thing: HE would be the OC: not MILLER!:lmao: (I'm half serious: whisenhunt and peyton could do it: Miller would be an interested observer)

Definitely. But there are other teams that can make the same claim.

Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen are reporting that sources close to Peyton Manning is leaning towards playing for Denver or or Cardinals. He likes Elway and Fox and is good friends with Ken Wisenhut. If I had to choose between those two teams I would pick the Broncos becssue they have a much better offense line and they are in the AFC. The Cardinals offensive line is horrible and I can see them going after DeCastro.

He should go to Arizona, IMO.
Warmer climate.
Better cities to travel to in terms of where he has played his entire career in doors.
Although Denver is a decent landing spot, he'd have at least 6 cold weather games per year.
Fitz and Doucet are pretty good options to have. If he can get Harrison to follow him, Arizona's offense would be top 10, easily.
Arizona may not have a very good OL right now but they could easily improve that with FA and the draft.
I think his best spot would be Zona but Denver would be an interesting fit.

Miami cant be counted out yet. Ross, the owner has been hell bent on getting Manning so he will do everything he can to get his star QB.

Plus they'll let Manning do whatever he want to do on offense.

I have some friends that made camp at the cardinals facility today to see Peyton and they said the meeting just concluded. The cardinals owner, Bidwell, gave a thumbs up when walking out. Take it for what it is worth i guess.

I'm sure the offense would be whatever he wanted in AZ, too. And the lure of playing with Fitz might be enough, along with the warm weather.

Denver's coaching stability and rising position has got to appeal to him.
Tim Tebow might go to whatever attention starved club needs some feel good press, I suspect he'll be traded for a 3rd or 4th rounder.

I was just thinking playing in the cold is less desirable than playing indoors in or a warm climate.
Don't think his neck is much of a concern in the issue.

this is the perfect situation for Denver.
Probably only Manning and Brdy could have left Elway and company off the Teabow hook

Even if Manning fails Teabow would be gone and they could then find a real QB to go with a team that is well constructed

This should make things quite interesting. Broncos shouldn't have a problem with that division if Peyton is even half the man he was, I am a Tebow supporter, but I think Elway never really drank the Kool-Aide so this should be good for everyone involved...
Tebow goes to Jax? Miami?
or even if he stays he gets to learn behind a legend, Tebow would be fine with any of them in the end, even if he gripes he'll get in line, so flexibility is definitely there.
Should make for some exciting football in 2012. Texans are his only divisional regular season game he would get to play. No Colts ;(

Yeah, going back to Kolb is basically a waste.
He's older, fell out of the system and wasn't very good in the one he was in.

Does anyone have a breakdown of Mannings stats: indoors vs outdoors?
I do know the worst game I have ever seen him play was at San Diego, where he had 6 picks in one game.
He's amazing, I know that....but just curious about the indoor/outdoor thing.

I think so too. They have pieces in place on defense, offensive line. They'll bring home Reggie Wayne too (U Grad) and with Brandon Marshall and Reggie Wayne, Peyton will put up big numbers and win some games for them. Might even give New England a run for the division.

From what I'm hearing it's Denver's race to lose. Denver blew him away with their presentation and they have tons of cap room. Also, apparently Fox and Manning have a great relationship. Manning hasva penthouse suite in Downtown Indy and host NFL people during the offseason, and fox is one of his guys. The 95 percent number is hilarious, because that's what the Miami guy had it at on Friday, but he sounded resigned to the fact that it's going to be Denver barring a miracle. He also said Manning isn't convinced Miami has all the pieces to compete for it all over the next few years.

I really don't get these choices. I don't see how ARI or DEN are anything more than 1st round playoff losses with Payton. If he went to the 49ers, HOU, or the Jets, he'd have a legit shot at a SB assuming he can get near 100% again.

Which will be the first preseason game if he comes to AZ and we don't have an answer for this OL problem. I really wanted help with a top line WR, but now either way, I'm asking for some new pieces to protect either Kolb or Manning. 54 sacks? Doesn't matter who's under center, you ain't winning anything with that trash.

If you are manning do you really want to bet on the Bidwells? Really?
I think its Denver and its not even a contest. Only other place i see him fitting is possibly with KC ... but they dont have enough Defense.
It really comes down to teams in the AFC West or NFC West cause those divisions are the easiest to win and put him in the playoffs the next 2-3 years with a chance to win it all.
