Carlos Rogers - DB - 49ers Yahoo's Jason Cole reports free agent CB Carlos Rogers is on the verge of re-signing with the 49ers.
A length isn't available, but Cole reports the deal will average $7.3 million annually. Rogers was believed to be seeking a four- to five-year pact. The move is surprising after the 49ers took a flier on former Bronco Perrish Cox Tuesday, but hardly shocking after Rogers had a career year at age 30 in 2011. The cornerback market is now barren barely six hours after the start of free agency.

As far as anything that has been reported by anyone, yes. The facti s though he was never going to leave Dallas.

Not saying we need to worry, but with the Bucs lurking with a need at CB and tons of money, this ain't over yet.

Brandon Carr getting big interest
March, 13, 2012
By Bill Williamson
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting San Francisco is battling Dallas for Kansas City cornerback Brandon Carr. There is little chance Carr will return to Kansas City. The Chiefs chose instead to sign former Oakland cornerback Stanford Routt last month.
If Carr goes to San Francisco, perhaps Oakland could get in on 49ers’ free agent cornerback Carlos Rogers. The Rams are talking to Saints cornerback Tracy Porter. He has been considered a possible candidate for Oakland, because he played for new Raiders coach Dennis Allen in New Orleans.

Seattle and Tampa are still in on Carr. Tampa has a lot more money than Dallas as does Seattle and they both could offer more money to Carr, but who knows. Carr has been in Dallas for a while and nothing has been confirmed. Just seems a little fishy to me. I feel like he will want to see what other teams will offer to him before signing.
