Miami is talking to or will talk to Dallas about trading our two firsts to them for the #2 and a 3rd or a good player.

Thats a good deal IMO.

Miami gets:

#11
#20

Dallas gets:

#2 (Mike Williams)
Patrick Surtain

Perfect!

I dont think it will take two firsts, this draft is weak they aren't going to get anything spectacular for the 2nd overall pick so I don't see why we would need to give up both firsts.

This is a lame thread I saw on another board, completely BS 2005, no links or news on the latest wires in this regard.

Why would we do that.....?

Williams is a good player but I wouldn't move up to get him.....and what do we do with Surtain?....make him a safety?

We have to many needs.

oh I wouldn't like this deal at all... this draft is devoid of superstars... but it is VERY deep in quality players (the kind you build a winner with) for 4-5 rounds... I would rather trade our #11 or #20 (depending on who is available at the time we pick) for more late first day picks or early second day picks...

but then again... that is my opinion... and I rarely have one around here... ;)

Hmmmmmmm........ the possibilities with this that we could get...

#2 Mike Williams Or Braylon Edward

Player-Jason Taylor, Patrick Surtain, Maybe Madison, Kevin Carter, Zach Thomas....

Their 3rd pick

or

#2 A defensive player (im so confused on who this will be)

Player - One of the guys listed above or CHRIS CHAMBERS (i'm a fan of him)
Their 3rd pick

or

their #2 pick, 2nd rounder, and 3rd rounder.....( it's only right )

I'd say these guys would be nice to get, but I hate to say this but I can't help but to notice the dolphins are trying to get younger because these guys are all just about in their 30's (excepion of Chris Chambers).

I feel sorry for every one who doesn't consider this a serious possibility....This was already posted on an mb. It isn't on any online wire. We don't know who said this if anyone actually did say this. A lot of people are trying to convince themselves of this because its a pretty good deal.

Its more likely the chargers would be in this discussion seeing as they are one of the only teams looking to trade up.

moving from 11 to 2 is too far to get done for only a second....we'd be giving our #20 in order to swap places and get a 3rd...sounds about right to me...would be a good deal, but only if there's someone up there that Parcells is in love with and has to have.

If that deal were made, it would sure make the following speculation fascinating for a week or so.

But it's still much more likely that we'll be moving those picks for more picks rather than higher picks...imo.

Ah the light of reason.

Dallas would be crazy to try and trade up. And should they wish to (*cough*) trade down, then they had better have a freakin' game plan and not just trade down to trade down for "extra picks." Good gravy I'm so sick of them trying to be cute...how about making solid picks for a start. Prove that they're able to do that consistently and THEN try to be shrewd later.

JJ was a good pick. better than the RB's taken before him, or so it would seem at this point. i was really impressed with his ability to step right in and pick up the blitz, he is solid !!!! And now its like having a free first round pick. If they do trade down though, and i think this is what your getting at, i would like to see a trade down for extra picks this year, not an extra pick(s) next year.

Another point to make.....it seems like everybody is talking about trading down now, so how are all these teams gonna trade down....gotta be several teams that want to trade up, might not be as easy this year to trade down and get what you want for your higher pick.
