They have lost a lot in FA.
1. Mario
2. Vickers
3. Myers
There may be more I'm forgetting about...but that is three solid starters in key positions.

Go through the list of players that Green Bay had on IR in 2010 and the NYG's lost during 2011.

1. MW only played 5 games in 2011, the Texans D didn't miss a beat.
2. Vickers' blocking will be missed, but FB aren't that hard to replace. Not a big deal.
3. This is where the Texans are looking at serious trouble. In 2011 Houston had what was arguably the best o-line in the league. By the time they play their next game, 3/5ths of that unit could be gone. Yikes!

Hate to say it because I don't like the Texans but I think they will be a very good team. Mario went down at game 5, their defense did not skip a beat.
At FB they still have James Casey
As for Myers clearly Houston will need to find a replacement but they have the means to find a good replacement for him.

Thay made a playoff run with their 3rd string QB. If they can get solid replacements on the o-line they're in good shape to take the division again.

I guess the real issue here is whether or not anyone cares if the Texans make the playoffs or not.

Not only the reasons above, but they also play in a terrible division. If the Titans don't get Manning, then Houston should roll to a division title. Jax and Indy will be awful, and the Titans likely won't be much more than mediocre.

The arrow is pointing up for the Texans.
Great power running game. Above average QB. Much improved defense with a lot of very young talent.
Not a lot to dislike really.

They made the playoffs last year without Super Mario, Schaub, and a long stretch without Andre Johnson. I think they will still be okay.

Power running team? They run a zone blocking scheme, anything but power.
They lost Williams. They are likely losing Winston. Might lose Brisiel, another starting OL.
Vickers helped in the run game...and if FB are so easy to find, why haven't we found one since...Moose?

They are the cream of a weak division, the Colts are rebuilding with a rookie qb, the Jags are terrible, the Titans always in rebuild mode.
By default, not excellence they can win the division.

They would be scary with a real QB.The AFC is the lesser conference again, they'll compete.
