I actually think that Brockers (and Cox) is a distinct possiblity in round 1. Not sure what I think of that at this point, though.

Straight forward, nice, but I would take an outside linebacker in two and a corner in three.
Give me either:
Whitney Mercilus
Nick Perry
...behind Anthony Spencer, and I'm a very happy camper.

Hate Brockers at #14. Sorry. The rest of the draft is actually solid, in my opinion. But the Brockers' pick alone ruined it for me.

I like the draft EXCEPT I take Bruce Irvin over Ronnell Lewis. Better production, and, after reading the story of his life, I think Irvin is hungrier - no, STARVING - to show the NFL what he can do. You can't teach that type of speed & athleticism at his size.

I will vomit if we take Brockers in the first. I big-o pile of nothing. Heck I dont want him in the second. Not what we need at all. I will take Poe or Cox in the first if we cant get decastro or trade down for Cordy Glenn.
I am sure someone needs a big slow plodding DT to just take up space and will choose Brockers imagining he will suddenly learn to move quickly I suppose. Lets just pass on that one OK?
He is destined to be a JAG and a footnote in this draft.

Me too. I can definitely see us going DL in rd.1 and Brockers might be a real target. Cox, I'm okay with. I don't like what I see out of Brockers, but I do agree that he's got tons of potential. When you watch the highlights of him, he's pretty much always double and triple teamed. And he stands his ground. When he stays low, he pretty much always wins. He's just bigger and stronger than everyone he faces.
The thing I don't like about him is that when he does get a one on one matchup, he still doesn't beat his guy and get to the QB. He mostly just stands still on the LOS. I just don't see much of a pass rush or interest in pass rush.

If the Cowboys go defense w/ the first pick, I believe it will be an OLB like Whitney. I think people are sleeping on Lissemore. I think he is an up and comer and can be just as good as a guy like Cox.
And when you talk potential, very few DE has the potential of Geathers. Everybody said he came out a year too early and he is exactly the type of person who got hurt by the off-season being cancelled. I'm really excited to see what improvements both he and Lissemore make this season.
I wouldn't mind adding a stud on the DL, but I'm actually ok w/ the DL. Give me a pass rushing OLB instead!

In this scenario, we would trade down to the early 20s and pick up a couple picks, and still get their 5 tech, whether it's Brockers or Cox. I did state that above but it's easy to skim over that.
Someone may want to trade up for Tannehill?
I would honestly be okay with either Brockers or Cox, as I think an improved DL will improve the ILB's and OLB's (especially Spencer).

Today we agree. If at 14 I will take Cox, if Cox is gone which is vert possible, I wouldn't mind a trade back for Brockers in the mid 20s. Thats where I have value for him.

I would be ok with Mericlus in a trade down add a extra 2nd and get Reyes.

Too much bust potential for me. I don't consider any of those guys ready to really contribute this year and that kind of scares me.
