Wide receiver Laurent Robinson was a gift that the Cowboys stumbled upon last year. With a recommendation from Norv Turner, Jason Garrett brought in the former third-round pick. All Robinson did last season was lead the team with 11 touchdowns. He may have been our best wide receiver last year, showing up in many big games. The idea of losing him in free agency loomed over the team heading into the offseason.
The Young Guns
Raymond Radway was one of the surprises of the 2011 pre-season. The UDFA from Abilene Christian displayed his athleticism at wide receiver early on last summer. His hard work was paying off and he was most likely a sure thing to make the 53-man roster.
Andre Holmes is listed at 6'5, and 208 pounds. He ran 4.45 40-yard dash and had a 33.5 inch vertical jump at his pro day. He spent the season on the practice squad after he was cut by the Vikings. Holmes was promoted to the 53-man roster in December because the front office probably feared he would have been poached off their practice squad by another team. The Cowboys love his potential and size, but he is another unproven player.

Kevin Ogletree should be back.

Not sure I would say a priority but I do think WR becomes a bigger consideration in the draft.

Uggghh. The knock on him is he doesn't want it. A bit lazy and has to be pushed. I hope one of the young guns (Harris, Radway, Holmes) can get the job done. Drafting a WR between rounds 3-5 would be a good idea.

Quite a bit of our offense is run between the 2TE formations & 3 WR formations. If we don't find the value in free agency at these positions, we will most likely draft a TE and WR before round 6.

Defense in first round (DL, DE or LB)
OL in second round
TE or Slot WR in third round
TE or Slot WR in fourth round (depending on round 3)
All defense for rest of draft

I think there will be some good WR mid to later part of the draft. Guys like Ryan Broyles and Jeff Fuller could be good options later in the draft

As from the article,
Bob Sturm has a great article that breaks down Jason Garrett's offense. In this article, Sturm details the usage of the personnel sets Garrett runs. It's no secret that he loves the two tight end sets, but one of his base packages is the "S11", the shotgun three wide receiver set.
Garrett ran this base formation on 30 percent of all snaps.

I do hope we pick up a 3rd wideout in FA. We can then focus on Defense, another OL and TE in the Draft.

Fuller can't play. He is a better option as an h-back. He can not get open split out wide.
Broyles is interesting as a late option. I like the 2 ARK WRs in r4 area.

Not only did we run it 30% of the time we lost the big blocking TE who made that "12" so popular. It figures we'll run even more 3 wide out set this year.
A quality 3rd WR will play about 50% of the offensive snaps if you consider injuries, rest for starters and 3 WR sets.
I'd consider a WR as early as R2. If Austin gets hurt again this year you may need to part ways with his large salary fairly soon.
Mohamed Sanu - Rutgers
Joe Adams - Arkansas
Devon Wylie - Fresno State
Jarius Wright - Arkansas
Marvin Jones - Cal
T.Y. Hilton - Florida International
Nick Toon - Wisconsin
Ryan Broyles - Oklahoma
I'd like most of these guys in the mid rounds and he left off a few names.

This draft is deep at WR. It would be a shame to miss drafting one in the 3rd or 4th round. No doubt in my mind the team can find a future starter at the position in those rounds.
