ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Tiger Woods finally brought the buzz back to the very thing that made him famous - winning.
Two weeks after another injury scare, and two days before his former coach's book goes on sale, Woods looked dominant as ever Sunday in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
It was his first PGA Tour victory since a sex scandal at the end of 2009 led to one of the greatest downfalls in sports. And with the Masters only two weeks away, Woods looks more capable of ever than resuming his pursuit of Jack Nicklaus in the majors.
Woods closed with a 2-under 70 for a five-shot win over Graeme McDowell.
The question two weeks ago was when he could play again. Now, it's whether he can rule the sport like he once did.

If he could win the Masters I would lose my Jacks record for majors.

Master win will not get him past Jack just closer

he owns that course, not surprising that he beat a one hit wonder in the last group.

He has not had way with any course as of late. Beating a top world ranked player is still an accomplishment

I knew that, but it does make it more attainable.

sure it does. I grew up watching Jack one of my all time favorite but like any record held they will sooner or later fall. Tiger is one of the best I have ever seen play the game

He looked like himself all weekend, but one thing I noticed differently is that on 15 yesterday when the screaming lady got in his swing, instead of freaking out he just passed it off as "hey it happens" and refocused and finished strong on 16-18.
His attitude has really changed a lot in some respects. I think it'll serve him well once he is able to really move on.
Grief and dealing with something like his public divorce wears on a man. It's been about 2 years removed now. 2 years is generally the right amount of time to finally "move on" from a break up.

It has been more than that physical problems that have slowed his progression with his new swing change that he put in place

He's been showing flashes for a year now, and after watching this tourney this weekend, he looks back to me. That was a very strong field yesterday, and his lead was never in doubt on the final day. Outstanding off the tee, accurate irons and deadly putting. Peaking just in time for The Masters.

I agree. He did a great job yesterday. I think this upcoming Masters is going to be a great one.

Most people in sports, music or other top entertainment don't have a problem with the endless supply of groupies. Not an excuse just the temptation that these guys have to deal with

My dad said the temptation was ridiculous and he played at Tennessee-Chattanooga in the late 70s. He was scouted by NFL teams but wasn't even close to being a pro.

It comes with the territory. Money, fame and women is everything a young man would want but it comes with a big price when you screw up. We seem to live in a culture who loves to build you up and put you on the pedestal only to knock you down.
My take on the Tiger deal from day 1 was it was an issue between a man and his wife and still feel that way. Tiger did not rape anyone he was unfaithful to his wife.
His ability at the game it what has always amazed me and good to see his game coming back. He is good for the PGA and the guys who play in the PGA know this very well as the purse size grew because of Tiger.
I would also say his mistake also does not take away from the many good things he has done to help young people.
