Thought I'd seen where the Bengals were a likely landing spot for T-New. Sounds like it's a definite possibility. Good for him.
I wish Newman nothing but the best.

He should just retire. His tank is on E.

he is going to have a full season to recover and join one of the top defenses in the league. He wont be a premiere corner anymore in his career, but he will be an above average 3rd corner.

Hopefully he catches on and can serve a role in helping the Bengals go 3-1 verse the NFC East next year.

Prediction : PFF will rate him as the worst CB next season with only one postive game. guess vs who? :p:

I don't think Newman is capable of doing that. He's done.

I heard Witten's done, too.
TNew with 600 or so snaps a season is a good player. It's tough to count on a guy once his legs give out, though. If I were Cincy, I'd find someone to develop in the draft in this case.

I disagree. I think he will go somewhere else and be one of the better CBs in his division after getting healthy and playing in a different system.

Zimmerman aside. Why do the Bengals ALWAYS pick up the scraps from the Dallas defense? Is it really only Zimmerman?
The other coaches don't really know what they are getting?
I could be completely wrong here and Newman jumps back to his pro-bowl self, but they sure do seem to collect a lot of our castaways.

Ugh the system wasn't the issue it was Newman. He just sucks now plain and simple.

Good for him and good luck. I hope they get him and I'll enjoy watching Dez Bryant and Miles Austin torch him when we play them.
Dez, in particular, will eat him up.

Not yet. I think if they do it will happen after the draft.
