Tony is 51 today. That's a lot of spankings. He's my favorite Cowboy of all time and I've related my brush with him here before so I won't bore everyone with it. We'll never see a back quite like him again who encompasses the agility, speed, balance, incredible footwork, and phenomenal vision.
Thanks for the memories, Tony! That is all.

Anyone watch PTI today? I was just curious if they gave him one of their daily end-of-the-show birthday wishes considering the love affair ESPN has with the Cowboys.

He is definitely my favorite Cowboy's player. I got a chance to meet him 2 years ago at the Hall of Fame Game. I was one of the lucky individuals picked to represent the U.S Navy during the halftime show and I met #33 on the sidelines right before halftime. Happy B-day Tony D..

Yep, Happy B-Day TD!
I met & chatted with him for over an hour way back when I was living in Hawaii & he was there for the Pro Bowl in the mid 80's...
I always thought he could have been the all time leading rusher if he had had Emmitts Oline...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TD!!!
I met him once at the Cowboys hotel in the DC area. They were coming back from the dining area and I was the first to see him. Everyone flocking to another player (I believe Danny White) and it gave me an opportunity to have one on one contact. What did I do, I yelled "there's Tony Dorsett." In seconds, my 12 year old body was engulfed in the crowd. Now in the middle of the pack, I worked my back to him and all I could hear my mother say was "touch him, just touch him."
No autograph, no picture but I did get to touch one of the most prolific RB's of all time and definitely the greatest football player of my youth.

Yup, Dorsett was a great one. How could he not be a Cowboy fan's favorite.
