If you were guaranteed you could get another Sean Lee at 14 would you take him even though inside LB isn't a need?

Because if Luke Kuechly is sitting there at 14 and we draft for need...we are a passing on a Sean Lee chlone. Maybe better.

Just watched 3 of his games...he is THAT GOOD.

We have one and his name is........Bruce Carter.

Surely a bit early to be making such proclamations?

Not really.

Kuechly started 12 games and led the nation in tackles (191) for the second straight season. He set school and Atlantic Coast Conference records for career tackles with 532, just 14 shy of the NCAA record. He capped his junior year by winning the Lombardi, Nagurski, Lott IMPACT and Butkus awards.

Fair enough, just the way you worded it before sounded like you were basing your opinion of having seen him play 3 times.

I agree.

I only saw 2 BC games and that guy was just an animal. He reads offenses like a book and is just there all the time.

I wouldn't be too upset if he was the pick because he is such an impact player.

I have said it before. Although there are other needs on this team with players that probably rate around the same....I would not be upset if we took him because he is just a great player from top to bottom.

You can't go wrong drafting Kuechly. I have a feeling he may go higher than we pick though. Kind of how Mayo shot up the boards a few years ago.

My biggest pet cat...

best defensive player I have seen this last year hands down and it wasn't close...did everything... was everywhere.

but after they signed Conner kinda gave up any hope of getting him but I will be jealous of who ever selects him...they will be getting a heck of a football player

My fear is that he goes to the Eagles. He'd really improve that LB group and we'd face him twice a year, with him knowing we passed on him.

It is tempting, Kuechly and DeCastro are the safest players that might be available at #14; however, I have confidence that Bruce Carter can play.

If DeCastro is gone, I would love to trade down with a team that wants to draft Kuechly to keep the Eagles from getting him.

This is on solid ground for sure. With Kuechly, the Dallas linebacker group in it's interior, would be rock solid for six to eight years...and with to dream for depth. That is a heck of a solid rock to build up a Championship defense.

From the start of the draft, Kuechly has been my favorite player in projecting for the Cowboys. He is the rebirth of Chuck Howley and nothing less....
