First, I want DeCastro more than anyone. I just don't think he will be there. With that said, this is what I like......

1st Round - Stephon Gilmore CB

2nd Round - Peter Konz/Kevin Zeitler - C/OG whoever is still available

3rd Round - Bruce Irvin - OLB

3rd Round - Brandon Thompson - DT

6th Round - Greg Childs - WR

7th Round - Nick Provo - TE

Undrafted - Alexander Tounkara - WR

I think to trade away both 4th round picks and 5th round pick for another 3rd would work out well. I based it off of the trade points on draft tek.

Looks good but I doubt either of Irvin or Thompson will be available in the mid 3rd.

You can't trade comp picks.

They should put that in the banner this month.

Looks like I have some updating to do then.

I'm actually much happier with this mock draft than my original. I think there is a good mixture of ready to play and coachable talent to start in a few years.

So, this involves trading down and taking the Browns #22 pick and their #37 for our #14.

1st Round - Mark Barron - S
2nd Round - Peter Konz - C
2nd Round - Bruce Irvin - OLB
3rd Round - Josh Chapman - DT
4th Round - Brandon Boykin - CB/KR/PR
4th Round - Ron Brooks - CB
5th Round - Donald Stephenson - OT
6th Round - Greg Childs - WR
7th Round - Nick Provo - TE

Is that going rate trade value #14 for 22 and 37?

Would have to give them more than our 14th for that.

Maybe our 1st and 3rd for their 1st and 2nd.

Thanks it looks like bengals trading to us the 21 and 53rd pick for our 14th in rd 1. I really am hoping we trade back as it is clear we have not found anyone to focus on like last year.

I just wonder how accurate those charts are. I did look at drafttek when deciding this and I think it was like 200 points off. That is a 3rd round player but if the Browns or another team see someone they really want they will do it. I'm sure Jerry knows how to play his hand.

Although, I'd be okay with giving up a 3rd rounder next year or a player along with the #14. The question is.....who? ;) I guess my mock draft is contingent on some smart negotiating.

Some people say the chart should give a little more weight to the higher picks, but it's a good reference for mocks, IMO. I don't think your trade is unreasonable for a mock.

#22 - 1st Round - Mark Barron - S
I liked your pick of Gilmore better.
#37 - 2nd Round - Peter Konz - C
Reasonable pick here. Definitely better than picking Konz in the 1st.
#45 - 2nd Round - Bruce Irvin - OLB
Love this pick.
3rd Round - Josh Chapman - DT
Good player, but I see him as a better fit as a 4-3 DT.
4th Round - Brandon Boykin - CB/KR/PR
Would be an excellent pick here, but most projections have him as a 2nd/3rd rounder.
4th Round - Ron Brooks - CB
I think you can get him in the 5th or 6th. Good speed but big questions about lateral agility.
5th Round - Donald Stephenson - OT
Looks like a UDFA to me.
6th Round - Greg Childs - WR
Interesting pick here. I like it. He ran a 4.55 forty at the combine and then a 4.39 forty at his Pro Day. He has excellent size with good agility.
7th Round - Nick Provo - TE
I don't know much about him. Looks like he's a little short at 6025.

I like Gilmore more too but I don't think he'd be around that late in the 1st for that extra 2nd round pick.

Also, maybe I'm reading too far between the lines but the negatives surrounding Brandon Boykin seem to be emphatic. Not just some "ehh, he needs some work." I was thinking maybe he'll drop a round. If not, he can be replaced with Ryan Broyles. Maybe shift some other players down with Broyles at 6th.

I also read that the Falcons were looking into Donald Stephenson so he might go in a late round.

I'm also trying to find where I saw Greg Childs going as late as 6th. Seems like 6th is way off.
