This draft lacks elite talent at the top but is pretty deep all the way to the end of the 2nd round, especially at OG, CB, DT/DE, and OLB. And all of those positions are of need for us. To think we can get 3 of of the following players within picks 22-60 of the draft is just way too enticing to pass on when you consider who there is to choose from.
OG- Glenn, Zeitler, Silatolu, Brooks
DT/DE- Worthy, Still, Reyes, Thompson, Winn, Crick
CB- Gilmore, Jenkins, Robinson, Hosely, Boykin, Dennard, Flemming
OLB- Upshaw, Perry, Mercilus, Branch, McClellan, Irvin, C. Jones, Curry
If you mix and match with 3 of those 24 you can come up with some pretty damn good combos that would improve our team tremendously. Glenn-Reyes-Irvin, Mercilus-Still-Brooks, Gilmore-Branch-Winn, Perry-Zeitler-Hosely.....I could do it for about an hour but you get the idea. Trading back and picking up an extra 2nd seems almost like a no brainer to be honest. Lets just hope a team gives us a call with a good offer come draft day.
