I can make an argument for all 3. I try like hell to trade down 1-3 spots.
If all else fails and I have to hand in the card..............Cox.

No sense asking easy questions, is there? :) So, IF these are the 3 available at #14, and the Cowboys stick and pick, for me it's:
1. DeCastro
2. Cox
3. Barron

Cox, but only out of necessity. The Cowboys need some talented youth on the d-line; Spears, Hatcher and Coleman need to fight it out for scraps.
I think, however, DeCastro is going to be a stud.

BPA, BPA, BPA. Whoever they have highest on their board. I'd probably be hoping for DeCastro.

Take the one that is top of the boards. I doubt you can trade back two spots and take one of the three, that would be ideal but unlikely to happen.
Take Cox, he is the highest on my board of the three.

I'll go with Decastro 3rd since he plays guard and I feel like the drop off from Decastro isn't nearly as much as Cox and Barron.
I think we need to get better at disrupting the QB so i'll go Fletcher Cox.
As a fan i'd like to get Barron because it's the cooler pick but he is pretty much does the same thing as Sensabaugh but he just has potential to be better at it.
We don't have a DE like Cox.

Decastro. I don't see the other two as significant immediate upgrades.

Cox is a day one starter at LDE over Coleman
Barron day one starter over Pool

I've wrestled with this and was a HUGE DeCastro fan but here's my Ranking:
1) Fletcher Cox
2) Mark Barron
3) David Decastro
I feel very strongly one of these 3 will be there and most likely Barron

1) Barron 1A) Cox
2) DeCastro
Barron seems like the perfect selection for us this year. if we pass up on him, i can see us 2 years from now complaining that Philly has a Pro Bowl Safety that we passed on.
We never get a crack at the best safety in the draft, and if anyone should know the value of a quality safety in the secondary, it should be us after losing Woodson.

Who else is available at our pick? Is it someone that Cincinnati would want? If so, possibly trade down, and take whoever is left.

Perhaps I am overreacting to recent years of no inside run game and going with what I feel is the safest pick long term. I like both Cox and Barron, Cox more so but I don't know if you will see it year one, especially if you are looking for pass rush. I wish he was a little more explosive and rooted better against double teams, although I would probably say that about his peers as well. Barron seems to have decent range, but his man coverage and attack don't wow me the way I would want a first rounder to. Perhaps I'm just more comfortable with some combination of Lissemore/Coleman and Hatcher than I am with Nate Livings and David Arkin. I actually think Nagy might be ok, but could slide to center.

i am taking barron. he has a chance to be a solid safety for the next 6-8 years. i would not mind cox he looks to be a young ratliff. i just do not see the cowboys spending a high pick on a guard since they paid about 10 million in bonus for two guards already.

You don't see Barron as a significant immediate upgrade?? I do, and I think he is the pick.
As much as I like DeCastro, I think they are looking at Barron if he is there at 14.
Just my .02.

3. DeCastro
4. Someone else than Barron

Anyway we can just choose all three?
Of the three, I want DeCastro the most ... but the depth at the interior offensive line positions makes it easier to go with one of the other positions.
To me, the most needful choice would be Barron. Poole was hired as a stopgap and Barron would settle the position.
However, if Cox is the highest-rated player on Dallas' board, I certainly would have no problem with Dallas going that way. I'm also not sure the depth is really there at defensive lineman after the first round, but safety isn't exactly deep either in this class.

I say DE Castro - hes a elite player
you gotta keep TR upright
Dallas started the job last year why not finish it by drafting a ELITE OG
you can get DE in the 2 an 3 rd for what they do
I will take Winn - Crick - Curry - Branch
even lower there are some good guys to draft

The nice thing is there's really no wrong answer there. And there are players who still represent potential upgrades at these positions later in the draft.
You have to take Cox at 14 if you have your choice because of his position scarcity. I'd take Barron second since there's a bigger gap between him and the next best safety(s). DeCosta's a nice consolation prize in that spot, and last only because there are legitimate options at his position going well into the third round.

What my choice would be....1. DeCastro 2. Barron 3. Cox.
What the Cowboys will probably do....1. Cox 2. Barron 3. DeCastro
Can't say I'd be upset with any of them, I just think we can wait until the 2nd or 3rd and still add a solid upgrade to our d-line.

And by that, for clarification, I believe both of us mean that there's a pretty steep drop-off from the ability of the first-round DLs to the second-round group.
I don't see that as much among the interior linemen.

thats why he won't be there at 14

The interior OL are definitely deeper. S and DE are both top heavy. But since S options are generally more available than DE options, I think you go DE if you have to pick one at 14.
We can get a pretty good S next year at 32 :)

Still, Thompson, Worthy, Reyes, and Winn could all step in and play day 1 for us. And I'd say ateast 2 will be available at #45. I agree that Cox is the best, but the drop off really isn't that big in my opinion.
