We have taken chances on guys coming off of ACL tears the past two years who have fallen in the draft. I think we target this guy in the third this year. He is the NCAA all-time leader in receptions (349) with 131 receptions his jr. year and 81 catches in 8 games before getting injured his senior year. Had he not been injured, he would probably be competing with Kendall Wright for the 3rd WR off the board. I really want this guy! Thoughts?

I think it all depends who we get in the first two rounds.

i dont think that matters...

we need somebody who can potentially contribute this year..i think itll be very difficult for broyles to have an immediate impact..but i also dont want to lose out on him bc of that

tough call

Sometimes you have to pull the trigger before the round you have him rated in to secure him. Not saying we have to get him at our spot but we can trade down in the third.

If we traded and somehow got an extra third, I'd take Broyles and Fleming in the third.

Broyles may be my favorite player in the draft. He has Garrett pick written all over him. "The right kind of guy".

Broaddus says the Cowboys like the WR they have on the roster and arent looking for a slot WR as they like Austin there

Before he got hurt he was a stud, but so was that other Ou wideout we drafted, Manny Johnson.

I think there is a good chance we draft him if he is on the board for our 4th rounder.

Otherwise, the only way we draft him in a premium round is if we do some trade downs to generate extra picks.

He is a good player but perhaps a bit of a luxury as we can probably get a vet min FA to give us the same production this year.

I don't think the two are very comparable.

Manny's big problem is that he can't separate from CBs at the pro level.

Manny Johnson's best year at OU was his senior year when he 42 catches for 714 yards and 9 TDs. His next best season was his junior season when he had 31 catches for 448 yards and 4 TDs.

By comparison Ryan Broyles worst year OU was his freshman year when he had 46 catches for 687 yards and 6 TDs. His next worst was his senior year where he missed 4 games, and amassed 83 catches for 1157 yards and 10 TDs.

Manny and Ryan are not even on the same continent in regards to pedigree and how highly touted they are.

can broyles return kicks? If not, I would rather have hilton or adams.

You have to if you want him. He's not going to be around in the 4th, someone will reach for him

You may be right. I typically don't pay attention to everyone's mock drafts, unless it Sdogo or silver bear or someone like that.

He has seen quite a bit of duty at punt return.
