And pick up another first and still stay in the first round? I'm thinking if some of the projections are true about DeCastro slipping to the mid 20s could we trade to say 25 and get another first and still get him?
I'm not sure what the "Chart" says about the values on the slots.

If we want to move to #25 and keep #14, it would cost us our 2nd, 3rd and 4th. If we got Barron and DeCastro and still managed to have a 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th, it would be a unbelievable draft.

In order to do that, you'd have to do multiple trades or trade with a team that has 2 first round picks. New England has 27 and 31 which would be 1,280 points. The 14th pick is worth 1,100 and our 81st pick is worth 180. So, basically we could take 27 and 31 for 14 and 81 and it would be our 1285 for their 1280 points.
Our first and 3rd for their 2 firsts.

Not necessarily keep the 14th pick. But I like your scenario better. :D

I think the most plausible option is with NE, possibly with us sweetening the pot. DeCastro almost certainly wouldn't be there at 27 but you never know. I would be very happy with that path.

Me too. :laugh2:
Since I am in the wheeling and dealing mood, lets look at another scenario. Let's assume that the SD rumors are true and they move up to #14 by giving us # 18 and #78 which happens to be equal on the value chart.
We select Brockers, Poe, or Kirtpatrick.
Then, DeCastro is there at #25. We trade #45, #78, #113 for #25.
We would have the following selections at #18, #25, #81, #135, #152, #186, #222

Not bad but I want to stay away from Kirkpatrick.
