Against:

Here's why not. Why do you pay a scouting department to do a ton of work, then sacrifice all your draft picks to get back into the 2nd?

I certainly hope Dallas does not mortgage next years draft, that scenario would be disastrous as well.

For:

Since the league has hampered their salary cap for free agency, they should rely more on quality young rookie talent this year. Next year's high pick would be devalued if we added DeCastro or Konz, so why not go for it?

If DeCastro or Konz fall past a certain point, we WILL use players, picks and future picks to get back in. Of this I have it on very good authority.

As long as it isn't a 1st. No 1st next year. Please no 1st lol

I would trade next year's first to jump back into the first. I am expecting our 1st round pick next year to be in the late 20s at least.

I'd trade next year's first for DeCastro. Not Konz though.

Please no! Not when we can get Silatolu or Zeitler later. That would kill me.

So the question is what is the point for Decastro and what is that point for Konz?

Why not? DeCastro becomes even safer. And you get him a year early.

Because you don't know what next years draft class is like, it's not worth it. Maybe, just maybe next years 2nd.

Seriously?

He's a better interior line prospect than anyone coming out next year.

Doesn't matter anymore though.

He's gone. Glenn or Zeitler in the 2nd would be ideal. I would do back flips if they pulled that off.

There isn't a single player left on the board for whom I'd forfeit next year's #1.
Come on, guys...let's not get carried away about any of these guy's values.

I'd go the route NE has gone...try to get 3 good players who can make your team. We can still get a FS in 3rd and a center in 4th.

I think we'll find a blocking TE among players released by someone later.

Exactly!! That doesn't have to include next years 1st. Maybe 2nd. But we have some ammunition. JJ is a smart business man, there is no doubt about that. They will make something happen.

No, you don't use next year's first for anyone that is left....

use a 3rd and a player this year (perhaps) to get into the 2nd

The further Glenn and Konz slip, the closer we should be to trading up.

At last, the voice of reason. There are still a lot of good players out there. We might even get more than 3 players that can help us. Patience, grasshoppers. I know that there are folks who always want 4 first rounders. There's value in round three and four.
