Yeah, -181 from Tavon Wilson and -68 from Jake Baquette but to be fair, those are based off the beta version. The one with some extra bells and whistles that I was not sure if it was ready to be rolled out yet only had Baqutte at -18 because it had my updated rankings.

For what it's worth, PFW breaks down each position into subgroups. And Charles is the #1 TE (3-down player).

in r4 i like alameda or chapman and jones or blake
if we lose both oc or both nt then grab charles the te.
a draft with
claiborne - starting CB
crawford - rotational de
alameda - huge NT
jones - competitor for day 1 OC job
is a really good haul and should shut up lots of crying from sturm et al about quantity.

Would someone with more knowledge on the college wide receivers available perhaps enlighten me on some of the names and the types of games they play? Other than the just dry read of Walters football or some other site, which I have done a bit of this evening. Thanks.
Joe Adams vs Greg Childs vs Devon Wylie vs Keshawn Martin?
Also I'll throw my hat in the ring for Markelle Martin and Ben Jones

There is something going on there behind the scenes that isn't common knowledge. This isn't a good tackle class and about half the league needs a starting tackle. Some major injury flag or something must have come up.

Philip Blake, please. TYIA.
I predict that we like him but get cute and try to get him with the compensatory 4th. I can see how that plays out now. We see that Jones and Brewster are still on the board too, so we decide to wait on Blake

This is what I like in the 4th
51 *Lamar Miller
52 Alameda Ta'amu
67 Billy Winn
71 *Orson Charles
75 *Ronnell Lewis
76 Brandon Boykin
81 Ben Jones
82 George Iloka
86 Cam Johnson
97 Joe Adams
98 Greg Childs
113 Michael Brewster
126 *Jonathan Massaquoi
128 Ladarius Green
129 Trenton Robinson
133 Nick Toon
135 Philip Blake
145 Emmanuel Acho
Miller is quickly becoming BPA ala Marion Barber and Tashard Choice in draft's past. Would be hard to skip him if he is still there.
I do think a starting center is available too us.....ratings for Blake are all over the place....if I was sure we could get him, Jones or Brewster in the 5th I would wait. But I think we are going to have to get Blake or Jones in the 4th and probably with the first one to be safe. It would be hard to complain about getting any of the guys ranked under 100 above. I think Charles and a Blake/Jones makes the most sense based on need. Those will be starters this year.

Give me Boykin and Jones/Blake.
Do you really see the Boys drafting another cornerback??
Make it Blake and Fangupo, or Blake and one of the 3-4 OLBs on the board (Cam Johnson, Jonathon Massaquoi or Keenan Robinson)...

Wouldn't it be nice to have Boykin as your #4 CB once Jenkins leaves next year? Talk about strength at one position. It's probably overkill, though... I don't know how many 5 DB sets we're going to be playing, lol I posted that on initial reaction to Boykin being available... but we have other needs that will give us more value.
Also, the more I think about it... I think just adding Carr and Claiborne is going to automatically make our pass rush better. I wouldn't mind if we used our next 2 picks on offense and the last 3 on defense.

Not necessarily in the fourth, but we lost Newman, Ball, and Walker in the offseason. Maybe we get lucky and find a college FA who can play after the draft, and maybe we bring Ball back after all, but I wouldn't be shocked to see us take a late round flier at CB at some point.

I like Boykin a lot (though not as much as SDogo does, I suspect his last name is Boykin)... I just don't see the Boys going for another corner, at least not this early in the draft...
Wouldn't upset me if I was wrong, though...
As far as using some picks on offense, at this point we really need a center, a slot receiver/kick returner and another TE... so I can see the Boys using three more picks on offense, the rest on defense...

That's a good point for an idgit, there will be some nice corners likely looking for work after the draft's last pick...
Chris Greenwood, Albion
Greg McCoy, TCU
I have seen mocks that had each of these corners being drafted, and I've seen mocks where they go undrafted... if they're not off the market, these would be my top two corners in the free agent signing frenzy...
Robert Golden, Arizona... may project to FS in the pros, but ran better at his pro day that he was expected to (in the 4.45 range)...
These would b e my top 3 targets at cornerback after the draft, but we know the Boys showed some interest in Isaac Madison from Arkansas, Anthony Hooks from New Mexico and Royce Hill from North Texas... I'm not real sure why the Cowboys like the latter two, to be honest with you...
Yes sir, I'd be looking for the Boys to add another corner or two from the undrafted rookie free agents...

Ron Brooks wouldn't surprise me in the next couple rounds. I think they'll draft another CB for sure, because Scandrick is also on borrowed time. They'll try him out again this year but if he has another down year, they'll dump that contract.
Or DeQuan Menzie, w/ the possibility of moving him to safety.

After watching (IMO) the reincarnation of the Clay Schiver years last season. I am keeping an eye on the Centers in this draft. If we don't take one in the 4th, I will assume that it means one of three things:
A - Garrett and Callahan are confident that Bernedeau, Kowalski, Nagy, or:eek: Costa are ready to step in and play at an NFL level.
B - Blake, Jones, Brewster, Snow, Molk are rated so closely that we will wait to grab the last one remaining... possibly 6th/7th round.
C - The organization secretly hates Tony Romo and wants to make sure that we are adequately represented on the 2012 NFL Follies video.
At this moment I am leaning towards option A... but I would love to hear opinions from the board.

I wouldn't mind Brooks at all.
I read that he's the best blitzing CB in this draft. 4.3 speed, great special teamer. Rob likes that slot corner blitz, so I can see him being a great 4th CB down the road with the potential to step in at the nickel if one of our top 3 guys gets injured.

Imo we need to go o-line with our 1st pick today. I'm kinda shocked that Brandon Washington is still available and would snatch him up in a heartbeat if he's still there when we pick. If not OG then whoever is rated highest between Jones/Blake/Molk. Depth for WR and TE can be added later on in the draft no problem.

I was high on Brandon Washington before the combine, but he looked putrid in some of the drills I watched...terrible feet.

I like Brooks alot. Watch the YT vid of him against Ole Miss and Arkansas, it's hard not to like him.
I think he fits perfectly w/ what the Cowboys want to do. Will have immediate impact blitzing and be our 3rd CB next after we jettison Scan and`Jenkins

I think we can go OC in Round 5/6 as well with Saulsberry.
We showed interest in him as well during the draft process.
On the other hand, I wonder if Garrett/Callahan are willing to let Costa/Killer/Nagy battle it out for the starting position?

I think its a distinct possibility that noone really wants to talk about, we could very well not take a single interior OL since we took 2 last year and got 2 in free agency.

If Kowalski got stronger, he could start and be good. His footwork and skills when subbing in looked a lot better than Costa.
