Before the Dallas Cowboys are discussed as a playoff team, (at least) two things are needed: 1) Marked improvement from a defense that blew five fourth-quarter leads in 2011; 2) Having rookie sensation DeMarco Murray ready to rumble.

The Cowboys' draft potentially shored up issue No. 1. Murray on Thursday provided hope for issue No. 2:

Coach Jason Garrett said in April that Murray still was recovering from the broken right ankle that ended his rookie season. That recovery appears to be moving at a brisk pace.

I don't think this is another Julius Jones case

Glad he's getting healthy and ready. I like this kid a lot and can't wait to see him killing people this year.

In what way?

I'd argue that the jury is still out. The unfortunate reality is that he was a guy who was an injury risk when we drafted him, started and ended the year hurt, and had his best game against the worst run defense in the NFL.

I'm not saying he can't be a great RB, but I thought Julius showed A LOT more as a rookie than Murray did.
