IRVING, Texas – When news broke of Terrell Suggs’ torn Achilles last week while playing basketball, many Cowboys fans wondered whether Tony Romo (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/5209/tony-romo) should stop hitting the court in the offseason, too.

Suggs later said the injury occurred during a conditioning test.

“It’s always a concern,” quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/5/wade-wilson) said of a possible non-football injury, “but that can happen out here doing offseason conditioning. It’s definitely a concern, but it’s kind of a personal choice they make.”

Of course other sports help.

I always wondered about some fans: would they rather a QB drink all day or watch TV? Or would they rather he keep some sort of competitive mental and/or phyiscal edge?

Its only an issue "if" something happens.

If nothing ever happens ist great conditioning and competition, blah, blah, blah

Have to admit that it's golf that doesn't bother me. Hoops does concern me some b/c I can recall getting so many turned ankles myself.
