You were blind as a bat if you didn't think this was coming.

Facebook is losing users. Facebook is as big as it can get now. (ie, at TOP value) Facebook went public for the sole reason to make the owners richer by feeding on ignorant investors who don't know any better. The reason they didn't go public long ago? They didn't need too. They had the cash they needed. They didn't need to go public now either. They did so now, just to suck in as much free cash as they could.

For anyone that actually bough FB stock. You are a damn sucker!

It has no revenue model. Groupon, *******, Facebook and a lot of these other .com companies will never be successful long term.

The Stock Market is a casino anyway. Give me tangible assets: Gold, Silver, Ammunition, and so on.

I was a little surprised they priced it at the top end of the range. Clearly the demand was there to buy into the IPO -- they could have priced even higher. But it was obvious it couldn't sustain that price level in trading. I think it tends to look bad when that is done.

Ha, what didn't get past the ever strict censor words. But yeah, when I hear that Facebook is a bigger company than McDonald's red flags go up. I did think it would do better its first couple days if someone wanted a short term play.

They said it was more valuable than Disney. :lmao2:
I don't blame Zuckerberg though. He played this very well. And now, he is a billionaire at a young age. Now go buy an island and have a blast. Why not?

A fool and their money are soon parted.

Too bad you couldn't short it from the onset.

$AAPL was good to get into Friday. Bought a block of shares and sold them off after lunch to get some vacation money.

As for gold and silver - waste of time and money to get in now. Ammunition is good. At least you can hunt with that. You can't eat gold and silver.

Much rather by food and med supplies if you think the apocalypse is near.

Exactly! Once a company like Facebook reaches this point, their goals transition from growth to retention. The company will likely make periodic acquisitions in an effort to retain their traffic levels, but a slow decline is inevitable.

Facebook went public for the sole reason to make the owners richer by feeding on ignorant investors who don't know any better. The reason they didn't go public long ago? They didn't need too. They had the cash they needed. They didn't need to go public now either. They did so now, just to suck in as much free cash as they could.

They had VC firms drooling at a chance to put money into the company making the previous investors even more wealthy after each round of investments. Once the the investor pools started to dry up and traffic growth started slowing, it was time to cash out.

If you follow with the prepping movement apocalypse has begun to signify any type of 'end of time' scenario. End of oil. EMP with extended power outages etc.

If so why would u need food or anything else for that matter?

So you can eat...

In the above cases gold and silver aint gonna do poop for you.

Well... You're talking about total destruction. I'm not.

In a disaster situation, where there will be no long-term outside support, food would be very useful to have around.

Facebook went public for the sole reason to make the owners richer by feeding on ignorant investors who don't know any better.Actually, they went public because they had to. They were beginning to rub up against SEC rules that require companies with a certain number of shareholders to "go public" (or, rather, register with the SEC). If they could have delayed it further, I'm sure they would have.

Have lots of drugs and booze and cigarettes and you will be able to barter for anything you want. People will sell their children for addictions.
