Sad. That was one of my favorite shows of all time. Truly hilarious stuff.

Now he's in the real deluxe apartment in the sky.

What I find most odd about this is he lived in that craphole ghetto El Paso. :laugh2:

RIP Sherman. I loved him as an actor in the Jeffersons, Amen, and other shows and movies. Very funny guy and a great innovator in his time. He will be missed.

Did a comedy show with him last summer. Didn't get to meet him as I had to leave out as soon as I got off stage. Wish I had. RIP.

I kind of met him a few years ago in the Tampa airport. The skycap that helped him with his luggage was a real jerk. He was pointing him out to everyone. Mr. Hemsley was very kind and took pictures and shook hands. You could tell he wasn't happy with the skycap but was very nice to all the people anyway. I left him alone.

That's awesome. You can tell he was a humble type of cat. Sometimes famous folks overvalue their fame. Sherman Hemsley seemed like that was not an issue for him.

You could see he wished the guy hadn't done it but was cool about it. I don't know why some people just can't leave famous people alone when they are on their personal time. I know it's part of the fame but if someone is out having a meal with family leave them alone.
