He's been making a lot of mental errors the past two weeks and was held out of the Oakland game so this isn't a surprise.

Being late for walkthrough didnt help Ed Wesley. TCU-ex has been waived but was far down depth chart anyway

He was hurt already too...get him outta here. The only downside is that we have to watch Oluwale stumble through the majority of preseason games

Anyone know how many guys are on the team now? Is it 88 or 89?
And how about we bring in a crop of centers/interior lineman to fight for that roster opening :)

i wouldnt be mad at 2 centers coming in. We need center help bad.
Our center position talent is laughable right now with killer k out and nobody knows when he will come back. I heard he hasn't even been seen on the field. Wonder what his conditioning will be like when he finally returns.

If he does, they won't be late.
How hard is it to be on time for work? Some of these guys are so dumb it's scary.

Koslowski can be kept on the PUPlist, so he could be available after game 6. Depending on how bad the injury is, it might be the best for him and the team.

Being late when you are on the road?
Hope she was worth it. Of course, the "I'm a RB for the Dallas Cowboys" line is never going to work again.

Don't get it. His mom is sick, she needs the money. Cowboys at RB is cloudy with injuries and Felix looking like he's in 2010 form (that is .. not good form). Good spot for Wesley.
I would go to Walmart and buy two alarm clocks to make sure I didn't miss practice.

There really isn't a message. This isn't a statement cut. Not when you're talking about a roster filler on his way out already.

A dude tried to tell me he was on the Texans practice squad...just because he was a big guy.
Needless to say, I busted him out.

I remember when Michael Irvin was late for the plane to Detroit game and Jimmy told the pilot to take off. Troy Aikman told Jimmy that Michael was just pullling up and Jimmy told him to shut the plane doors and that Michael can find his own way to Detroit. He sat him for the first series.

Yeah, I don't get it. If it was me, I easily see myself surrounded by 4 or 5 alarm clocks, just to make sure. Hell, my Mom (who remembers epic battles in getting me up to get to HS) would call to make sure I was up.
If reporting time was at 07:00am, the trainers would find me asleep in front of my locker at 06:00 . . .
My brain, their bodies. That's all I want in my next life. :(

Fair enough...but I don't think if Romo was late he'd get cut. The message is being sent to bubble players more than anything.

That's what I find funny......with all the crap Jimmy Johnson Miami Hurricans players did off field......all that happened off the field with the Johnson lead Cowboys..........he set the tone with fridge players.......all he cared about was winning.....I can't remember a solid starter Jimmy had ...that he cut to send a message.
Leaving Irvin at the airport was the worst he did to a star player and it wouldn't surprise me if they paid for his trip anyways :)
Don't get me wrong.....I'm happy JG sent this message.....but we have heard Dez pull similar stunts.....and he is still here........like Jimmy....Players that can help you win.....have different rules.

I think that's the real message being sent. No matter how strict a coach is, they are not cutting a player that will impact the salary cap over being tardy. You fine those players and/or make an example out of them in front of the team.
Fringe/bubble players are lucky to be out there and cutting one of those players for being tardy sends a message to the other bottom-end roster players that if you lose your focus, dedication or motivation, there are other guys who would love to take your place.

I don't find it funny, I find it smart. Jimmy is very, very smart. It as been noted that he has a very high IQ with a master degree in psycholog.
With that being said, in an interview some years ago Jimmy was asked about the LB he cut for falling asleep during a meeting (forgot his name). He had just received this player in a trade with the Bears. He stated that Emmitt used to fall asleep in meetings. He asked the interviewer, "do you think I was going to cut him?". He said that he gives his great players leeway and you need great talent to have a great team. He said the marginal players must work so much harder to contribute to the teams' success that they don't have the option slack off.

well, yeah......you dont think D Ware should be cut for showing up late do ya?....ya know why? cause he dont do it and is already a star player.....if he showed up fresh from college , undrafted and 2 weeks into camp showing up late that would be different.....I think it sends a message , not to the stars but like you say," bubble players", and they happen to be the ones who need the message..... IMO its still a very good thing

Hey big guy, Jimmy disagrees with you!John Roper and he had been disappointing. So odds were Jimmy was cutting the guy anyway, but Jimmy was a master of psychology and used it to make a point to the other players.

That's his name, thanks bro. And yes that's my point. He would use moderate players to cut to make a point to the other moderate players. And not all the time would he do it in his office, but places like in the meeting room (Mr. Roper) or on the team plane (Mr. Richards). Hence Jason sending the guy bagging after he arrives late.
Say what you want, but Jason was sending a message. Maybe not to everyone, but to those that needed it and they know who they are!

Totally different situations. Curvin Richards was a 4th round pick in his 2nd year. He actually played for the team on their actual roster.
Cutting Richards is a little different than a camp body.
That said, I expect Wade would have let the kid stay
