At least, as he dressed after this lousy 24-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/09/giants_fall_to_dallas_cowboys.html) started the Giants’ title defense with a big thud tonight, linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka managed to hold onto his sense of humor.
Get it?
Hold on.
"I haven’t been held this much since I was a baby," Kiwanuka said, and he wasn’t able to hold back a smile, because in so many ways, the refereeing from the replacement officials was downright silly.
The Giants were held, clawed and mugged. The entire Cowboys offensive line had hugged Jason Pierre-Paul so often it felt like they were on the receiving line at his wedding.
Then, as if the schoolteachers and lawyers the NFL is inexplicably sending out there to officiate its multibillion-dollar business had been cramming the rule book between the third and fourth quarter, they discovered that this holding thing was quite illegal.

What he meant to say is " I haven't cried this much about something since I was a baby".
No surprise that the NY media is endlessly crying about the refs. Somebody should tell them that the refs called 13 penalties on the Cowboys and 4 to the Giants. Somebody should also show them all the holding being done on Demarcus Ware and Victor Butler last night. They were routinely hogged-tied as well.
The calls and non-calls went both ways.

The calls and non-calls went both ways. You're right about that they called the penalty on Free for holding JPP, but yet you could clearly see some of the hogties DeMarcus was getting but no calls.
Is it me or does the refs, even the replacement refs have something against calling holding on the lineman blocking Ware.

Good night, what a bunch of cry babies. Take the loss and move on.
I guess no one alerted Kiwi to the obvious, that the refs were not calling all those holds on Ware either. The lousy reffing went both ways. Just admit you were outplayed and give your opponents their props.

Yes, If true im quite sure the giants players would come off the field and tell their teamates to hold as well because the refs arent calling a tight game.

I didn't really see any bad calls help or hinder us. Maybe the roughing the passer by Hatcher but that's a call that the regular officials make anyway. We played a pretty sloppy game, with false starts especially. Not going to be any easier to play a crisp game in Seattle.
