Ricky Seals Jones #1 ranked receiver playing QB. I don't know if he can catch but he can sure run.

no solid news on the injury but "sources" close to the situation say it is a dislocated kneecap

I might go ahead and just give him a take it or leave it offer right now. If he does not come back with the explosion he had before, he could still turn into one heck of a fine TE. He has the size and he was already considered as a once in a life time TE prospect anyway. He just didn't want to play the position. I might go ahead and do that if I were Mack. Let Sumlin pile his but back into his Helicopter and just put that offer out there, see what happens.

Art Briles will come and pretend to be looking at his backup just to get other schools off the scent of his quarterback recruiting, then he'll sign Seals.;)

if it is really bad I expect them to keep it quiet/downplay it and for him to accept a four year offer from the best school to offer it

I think it was just an ACL for him but in '95 it was harder to come back from

I looked it up and the only thing I could find was that he tore his ACL in his third pre season game in '95 but he dislocated his knee in '99 and '00

No. Ki Jana Carter tore ligaments. Pretty much all of them if I recall. Keep in mind, that was almost 20 years ago. Medicine has come a long way since then but if this is a knee dislocation, an injury that I, myself have had, it's much different.

Depends on the severity. A dislocated knee cape can also involve an actual fracture or split of the knee cap. However, Carter's tears of his ligaments were pretty much complete and at the time, surgical techniques were not nearly as sophisticated as they are today. Also, you have to context it against what you are trying to accomplish. Are you trying to use the knee to live normal day to day life or are you trying to play professional football? I'd have to say that a complete tear, at the time, would be more sever, assuming the knee cap is simply dislocated and not cracked.

a knee cap just sounds horrible! i think thats what baron davis injured last season and he is probably going to miss the entire year.
