Now that the Jets have traded thier #1 pick to the Raiders for Jolley think maybe we could send our #20 to the Jets for Abraham? I think it would make sense for both teams. Maybe we wouldn't have to pay as much for Abraham as Howard was asking.
Would you do this?

If all they wanted was #20 I would do it but I have a feeling the Jets will want more than just #20

Abraham will probably want double the amount we would pay Howard. Double is an exaggeration but not by much.

Does anybody know any figures on what the Jets offered and what Abraham was asking?
I know Abraham is good, but he rubbed me the wrong way when he decided he didn't want to play in the playoffs even though he could.

I would much rather take my chance in the draft on a Spears, Pollack or Blackstock than get locked into some sort of exorbitant contract for Abraham.

I gotta say...the contracts that Abraham and Howard are asking for flat out scare me....I would, at this point, take my chances in the draft. I think we can good some good players...who knows maybe as good for a fraction of the price and will be in long term contract with us...
Nope not impressed with Abraham as a team player. I'd pass

I don't mind paying for a proven player if that is the direction the Cowboys want to go. I think a big upside to Abraham is he and Ferguson have worked with one another on the DL.

I would take Howard over Abraham straight up.

Abe is a far better end when healthy than Howard the stats speak for themselves.

We already have Ferguson and Glover not to mention Ellis. Let's start the youth movement. Find the next great Cowboys defensive lineman in the draft.

Abraham has only been in the league 6 years. It's not like he is over the hill.

Ditto, of course I wouldn't complain too much because he is a stud and only 26 yrs old. Actually getting a stud DE for our 20 pick would be cheap because it frees up 11 and 42 so much. Its just our cap that would ache.
Congrats to me on post 1,000 BTW...
