Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said he expects the NFL to review the play and possibly issue a fine.
"I'm sure they will," Jones said. "We saw the same thing you saw. That’s certainly something we know or expect penalties and fines about. They didn’t see the helmet hit or they would have called it."
"That’s part of the deal," Lee said. "He can celebrate all he wants. I bet you if we went head-to-head and square up he probably won’t be celebrating as much. It’s part of the deal and part of football, and hits like that happen."
Lee said he was hit in the chest and not the chin. The Cowboys' medical staff cleared Lee to return after he passed concussion tests.

Wares comment is what disgusted me most about the team today.
"It really pissed me off if you want to be honest," linebacker DeMarcus Ware said of the hit. "Anybody that sort of retaliates on any of the other players on defense, offense, you sort of got to take that mentality back to them. That’s part of this game. It’s a brutal game, but we didn’t do that."

Thats BS....the ref was right there looking at it. He saw the hit. His flag was late and he couldn't call it against Seattle. So he changed his mind and called it against the Cowboys instead. These refs are pathetic.

Looked clean enough to me.
Maybe he got helmet, I haven't seen it close enough, but the reality is that Lee didn't have his head on a swivel. It's not like the guy ran 30 yards to target Lee.
If it pissed anyone off on the defense, it's because they are soft, and knew they couldn't/wouldn't do anything about it.

Started at the chest and met the chin. No big deal.
It's football. Lee needs to remember to have his head on swivel.
Fines, penalties, Blah blah blah.
How about fining that poor excuse of a performance from the Cowboys.

He lead with the crown of his helmet and launched, looked like to me. It was completely illegal regardless of where Lee said it hit him.
I would also say that it did hit Lee in the Chin but Lee says know. I don't know if it's because he doesn't want to chance further medical review or what? Doesn't matter, he should receive a fine for it. I have nothing against solid hits or even peel back blocks. If it were our team, we would be celebrating it. However, it did look illegal to me.

....check the still photo out guys, it's clear as DAY he led with his helmet, and he'll get fined. Ware's comments just scream SOFT. SO....let me get this straight you SHOULD have realiated but COULDN'T? OR WOULDN"T? Same old same old with this band of cream puffs guys....DeMarcus' agent should call Stay Puft Marshmallows after that weak garbage....I hear they're looking for a spokesman.:banghead:

Have to be smart, business like and show no emotion on the field.

Honestly, I think that the D saw the flag on the field and laid off b/c they thought it was a penalty on the Lee play which would have put the Seahawks in hole on 3rd down.
If that was the case, not retaliating is the right play there as a defensive stop there would have given us a chance to get back in the game with most of the 4th left.
But more broadly, we got hit in the mouth over and over and just sat back and took it.

I don't think they should have retaliated on the guy on that play but the game was far from over at that point. I do think that somebody should have made a point to lay the smack down on that guy with intent. He caught a 1st down on us, right in front of two defenders and behind another later in that game. Nobody even touched him.

Lee didn't see him coming at all. He was focused on the running QB and nothing else. It looks like Tate's helmet struck Lee in the upper chest and then rode up to get under his helmet.

The hit on Lee is an illegal blindside block. Lee is considered defenseless, which means you can't lower your head & hit in head/neck area.Tweeted by Mike Pereira https://twitter.com/MikePereira/status/247462620213420032

Obviously as he strolls right past, he wanted no part of "Golden Tate".

What could Ware do right there? His teammate got blown up but in real time you can't determine that's a dirty hit. It's not like hitting the QB late, or hitting a guy out of bounds, or going at a guy's knees. A few inches lower with Tate's hat and the play is legal.

I know, I found it very funny coming from him. I love him, and I never criticize him(there really isn't anything to criticize). I never care when he jumps offsides. He's allowed to in my book. It gives him his edge. Sometimes his timing is a tiny bit off. But, this soft mentality I hate.

Oh , I don't know. Possibly make one DAMN play after that hit? Maybe the defense gets some knocks on some of their players?
maybe the WHOLE Dallas team get pissed because of it and actually show some emotion in the game? Instead of going through the motions of a game.?
I know, I know, it's asking a lot.

Don't disagree with that. Someone should've looked Tate up later and blown him up. I'm just saying that seeing a teammate go flying doesn't mean you immediately get to cheap shot a guy back or even get in his face, because it wasn't clear at that second that it wasn't a legal hit.
Now all the celebrating he did after the stop... That was worth putting a stop to. But no players on any team do that anymore.

I like the comment from Moose. The hit that was made puts players at risk which is what the league is cracking down on yet the flag was thrown on the Cowboys for a hit out of bounds were the defender barely touched the call carrier. After seeing both situation it was clear which one put player safety at risk.
