IRVING – Jason Witten is itching to get back on the field after experiencing perhaps the worst game of his 10-year career in Sunday’s 27-7 loss to Seattle.
Witten said coach Jason Garrett’s talk to the team helped him put things in perspective.

“Coach Garrett said it today…You can never really get too high after a big win or too low after a loss,” Witten said. “You got to be critical of yourself, you have to evaluate it, win or loss, and get better. I think that’s the approach our team is taking. I believe our guys know that and see how we have to play. There’s going to be a tough opponent coming in next week.”

Witten hasn’t used the fact that he missed a month in the preseason as an excuse for his rusty performance in the first two weeks.

“Sunday can’t get here fast enough,” the seven-time Pro Bowler said Monday.

Sounds like somebody agrees with you.

Witten hasn't scored a TD in 8 games, and hasn't had a 100 yard game in 17. Lets all hope that changes Sunday.

I think he will push himself harder because of his performance last week.

Appears Witten may be back to full strength/health and back to his normal game speed... coupled with an attitude of wanting to perform the way he knows how to do. That's what I got from reading the linked blog in the OP, anyway.

So OK, Jason... scratch that itch. Get back to being YOU AT YOUR BEST against the Bucs.

the window of opportunity is shutting down faster than he originally thought. I for one think we're better of with him sidelined as Romo has to look for other options instead of locking on Witten on every 3rd down.

I agree Romo tends to lock onto Witten too much.
