As of right now, only the Cleveland Browns stand in their way.

Well, if so, do they do what the Colts did to Peyton? I think it depends how much hype Geno Smith has going into the draft. Also, I don't see the Saints finishing with the worst record in the league. But they'll probably get a top 6-7 pick.

I don't think the Saints or the Browns will get the #1 pick.

They're both winless right now but both teams have played games close.

The Browns have played the Eagles and Ravens close.

They'll both get a win or two. I could see the Saints winning a few games and possibly even get to .500. It's not like they're getting blown out.

If Buffalo doesn't figure something out, they might end up with it. They've given up almost 100 points in the last 2 weeks.

I can see the Chiefs, Jags, or Titans getting it. Maybe even the Raiders. Haha that would be hilarious if the Raiders got it. They just traded a 1st and a 2nd (and I think more?) for Palmer, and people forget that they gave up a 2nd to get Pryor, and then if they spend the #1 on a QB. Haha Only the Raiders.

They couldn't do what the Colts did.

Unless Brees has something in his contract that would allow the team to forgo a huge cap hit similar to way the Colts structured Peyton's there's no way they could release him.

I think the Colts were off the hook for everything but a 10-11M dollar cap hit this year only.

Brees signed with 37M as a bonus. That'd leave like 30M on the books.

If they get the #1 pick, they'd be wise to ransom it to the highest bidder.

After the price paid for the #2 last year, I think the Saints could get a ton.

It's hard to imagine them getting the #1 pick. They aren't THAT bad.

Not a chance in hell. I think they finish 6-10.

With Drew Brees as their QB no way they get the #1. I'll say they finish around 5-11 to 7-9

There is way too much talent on the Saints for them not to string some wins together. No way will they get the #1 pick. Book it -as they say.

One of the wins they'll string together will likely be against us. In December.

I'd say KC and TENN have the inside track on the top pick right now. Cleveland, JAX, and BUF aren't far behind. And the NY Jets are a sleeper and in the running with Revis out.

If the Jets don't go with Tebow (:) ) and Sanchez plays like he has, they are in deep trouble. No WRs and no running game to go along with a poor QB and now a weak defense will get you a top three pick all the time.

I wrote this before the Saints won the game last night (and got back on track to WIN IT ALL if locals are to be believed )

I don't think they'll win it all, but I do believe they got something back last night. More likely, they will manage to win 6 or 7 more. They won't get the 1st overall pick next Spring.

I didn't Think they were that bad but if they would have started 0-5 then maybe tank the season. I know that's terrible and all but I'm a Rockets' fan from way back.

Not if the Browns have anything to say about it.
