You guys remember that quote Tony made a while back? He said if losing a football game is the worst thing to ever happen to me I'll have lived a good life. It's so true. The reason I say that is I just found out my aunt is in ICU. My cousin asked her earlier a question. He asked are you going to heaven? She said yes. So trust me when I say that the Cowboys struggling and losing no matter how embarrassing it is is not the worst thing that can happen to you. Not even close. I'd appreciate some prayers although the way things look right now it looks like I'll be burying my aunt.

Thanks guys.
Really hope she can pull through because if she doesn't it's gonna be very difficult for me to even watch another Cowboys game let alone be into them.

I just came to the hospital to visit her. She is essentially on life support. There's zero chance she makes it. Her lungs have become very, very weak. She used to smoke alot and obviously it has taken it's toll. The damage is irreversible. They don't know how exactly long it'll be before she passes away. It'll probably happen sometime in the next week. She's had a incredibly tough and long battle with cancer and she has essentially lost the will to live.

Sorry to hear it. Looks like she knows she's heading to the best place, hopefully you can find comfort in that.

Thanks bro and I am. That's really the biggest thing she has taught me. To stay strong during the tough times. That's something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. My aunt is a very strong woman and I'm very fortunate to say I'm her nephew.

Sorry to read that. Its good that you have great memories with your aunt. I am not close to any of mine. The only one I was close with passed away my sophomore year of highschool from a car crash :(

Wow that's horrible. I'm glad she didn't go like that. She will die peacefully.

Man...So sorry. I know how hard it is losing someone you love. But I also know that in time you will remember the good things and good times more than the pain you are feeling right now.
May God's peace be with you and your family.

Keep your chin up kid. You are a man according to you.
It sucks. I thought my whole world was falling apart when my grandmother passed (around your age at the time).
You need to appreciate what you have, when you have it. Reflect on that for a while and then you will simply smile.
If your aunt was indeed that close to you... you will be able to smile.

Well what sucks is I already lost my grandma a few years ago along with my uncle. So my aunt isn't the first close one I've lost. She'll actually be the fifth, but I'll be okay. She'll be in a better place and all her pain and suffering will be over.
Not gonna lie though its gonna very difficult for me to even be into the games anymore. I used to always watch the Cowboys games at her house and now I won't. This is the first time a death of a loved one has occurred during the season. I doubt I'll be attending another game this season. If we lose every game for the rest of the season I probably won't even care. If we win a Super Bowl it'll be great obviously, but not nearly as great as it would've been had this not happened.

JD I am so sorry to hear this. I will have you guys in my prayers. It is extremely difficult to lose anybody, much less somebody close. I lost my uncle a few years back but I think about funny memories or meaningful time we spent as a family from time to time and it makes it easier. Really makes you appreciate the people you have around you when things like this happen. Once again your family will be in my prayers.

For those of you who have me on Facebook please don't write on my wall or anything like that because my cousin doesn't want his kids to find out like that. He wants to tell them himself.
