View Full Version : Did you know that this weekend at 4pm there are only...

2 games on the schedule? Two games on CBS and 0 games on Fox. This is the result of 6 teams being on a bye and 2 other teams playing on Thursday Night.

Am I the only who thinks that it is horrible we only have 2 NFL games at 4pm??

And why the hell do six teams have a bye on the same weekend? Another reason to hate Roger Goddell

Scheduling sucks.

Has for a while.

Some weeks there are 4 teams with a bye, others there are 6 teams.

Throw in the 3 night games and you have very little to look at on Sunday afternoon.

This being week 7 should be the very first week of bye weeks, IMO.

There should only be 4 weeks of byes, 8 teams each week. One team from each division. And I think teams should have control over their bye week between the weeks of 7-10 based on how they finished the previous year.

Exactly, The Redzone is worthless this week at 4pm. Makes no sense

Last week Redzone was great. The host called it the most exciting sequence they have seen at one time since they started doing it. By the way, the host of Redzone is great. He's on top of things and transitions really well with all the action going on.

Anyway, they had a triple box of the Arizona, Washington and New England games.

At the same time:

1. Arizona missed a game winning FG, forcing OT.

2. Seattle threw a deep bomb to take the lead late against New England.

3. RG3 ran for about 76 yards and a TD.

It was pretty nuts.

Well this week I guess it will be a SPLIT screen since it's only 2 games

I did not know that. I better get on my wagers for this week.

I don't really watch redzone channel anyway.

I record the two games at once that I want to watch and flip back and forth. The other games I watch in primetime, or record them Monday morning.

I watch every game. The great part about watching them on Monday or Tuesday is that it only takes 30 minutes for the entire game.

Yes it surprised me too when I flipped open the TV Guide

One thing I don't like this year is that there is a game every Thursday. For whatever reason it has really thrown me off schedule wise. I liked it better when the Thursday games stated half way through the year instead.

Thursday Night games didn't start until Thanksgiving and now the IDIOT commissioner has them on every week

I like them every week.

It's kind of an early present leading up to the weekend.

After a long and aggravating Wednesday and Thursday, that night game really takes the edge off.

Sounds like you didn't watch football in the good ole days, the early 90's

Think about those who gets the sunday ticket. They pay 10-20 bucks a week.

That's why the Thursday Night games every week was retarded because it decreases the appeal of the Sunday Ticket on Sundays

I really like having the Thursday night games every week too. It spreads the games out a little more so I can pick and choose which games I want to watch live. I don't usually flip back and forth between games very often.

I know this won't happen anytime soon because of competition with college but I liked games when it came on Sat afternoon and night than Thursday.

If they haven't already, I'm surprised an early game hasn't been moved to the late slot.

Only other reason I can think of is FOX has a baseball game...

Yeah that's the reason which is stupid because the NFL always has bigger ratings. The game on Fox should be at 8pm like it was last week.

CBS back in the day when they covered baseball never aired baseball at 4pm on a sunday

I did say I know it won't happen.

I'm just not a College person unless USC is playing or if it is some big game and I know many people don't like college neither.

When NFL games were played on Sat. during the college break and bowl season, they were good.

The only time the NFL should be on a saturday is a week before Christmas and after

So in other words, you like the idea that NFL games shouldn't be played on Sat. even after the football regular season is over except for the Sat. before and after Christmas during the NCAA bowl season.

I think you are related to Goodell. lol

You mean the days when there were 2-3 per week to choose from and the Monday night game, giving you 3-4 games max any given week?

Yeah, I'll take 3 night games in addition to my 3 day games.

More football on TV is good for me.
