The Carolina Panthers may be without Jon Beason and Chris Gamble not just for the Dallas game on Sunday, but maybe even longer.
Three-time Pro Bowl linebacker Beason and top cornerback Gamble did not participate in Thursday’s practice, and head coach Ron Rivera said he’s concerned about the duo’s status for Sunday.
KUECHLY AT MIDDLE: Rookie Luke Kuechly, who slid from weakside to middle linebacker against Seattle, has been practicing at Beason’s middle linebacker position this week and will start there if Beason is unable to play.
Kuechly recorded 11 tackles, had no missed tackles and recorded his first interception against the Seahawks in Week 5. He said he’s gotten more comfortable in the position since that game.
