Weren't they MRIing the ankle sometime today? Or am I confused with someone else?
Hope he doesnt have to miss too much time, i really wanted to see how he progressed throughout the year.

When center Phil Costa was carted off the field in the first half, coach Jason Garrett feared the worst.
Costa was writing on the grind in pain. It looked like his leg was broken or at least dislocated.
But after the game, the Cowboys surprised everyone by saying Costa was diagnosed with a sprained ankle and could be available for next Sunday’s game against the Giants.

So to the Drs on the board -- is it possible for the ankle to dislocate (and pop back in) w/out there being series ligament damage -- that thing clearly went a way it should have -- Rivera saw it and started calling for the training staff

I was just showing the huge discrepancy in the reporting of the injury.

I think the issue here is that x-rays came back not showing a break.
Some folks interpreted that as it being just a sprain. Technically, I guess that any outcome here is a "sprain" -- but that can mean anything from the ligament being stretched to being completely ruptured

It's a wonder he wasn't flagged for having a sharpie in his sock, and also using the grind as a prop.

They can barely edit their published work. It's not that it's a dead skill but that the newspaper industry has downsized and you need people to actually do it.

My statement wasn't a dig at you, I was hoping the injury was not as serious as first thought. When I saw him leave the field I though he was gone for the year.

30 years ago anyone that made such basic mistakes in grammar and spelling would never get a job for a supermarket weekly.
Now these numbies are working for national papers and national sites and make mistakes like that.
And those mistakes are not caught.
Tells you all you need to know about the entire media industry

If the ankle joint is partially dislocated and 'pops' back in then that's a subluxation. If you have to put it back in place then that's a dislocation.
There is no way you can get a subluxation in a previously normal ankle without damage to one or more ligaments. Ankle sprains are graded I-IV and there are no simple answers about therapies and length of dysfunction. You can get pretty good info from focused MRs in addition to xrays and serial exams. We'll know something soon most likely.
