IRVING -- Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made his playful boast at a kickoff rally at training camp. It's likely the New York Giants haven't forgotten, considering what happened in the season opener.

Jones' comment to fans that, "Y'all should come visit Cowboys Stadium and watch us kick the Giants' [butts]" is sure to be bulletin board material at The Meadowlands this week. As if the Giants need more motivation after a 24-17 loss to the Cowboys in the season opener Sept. 5.

"We know what to expect when we play the Giants," Cowboys defensive end Jason Hatcher said. "It's going to be a dogfight. It is what it is. We don't care for each other. It's going to be one of those games."

The funny thing is: Dallas has never beaten the Giants in Cowboys Stadium. All three losses hurt.

"I know that in the end, it's going to most likely come through us or them for this division," Cowboys linebacker Anthony Spencer said, "so we know what's at stake in this game."

Sounds like the players are still mentally in a good place. Anybody else picking up this vibe at all from the locker room lately? It feels kind of like they're getting a bit of an 'us v. them' thing going finally. Witten, Rat, and now Spencer have all had quotes this week that show that maybe their back is up a bit.

Man, a win at home against a rival here would reboot the season. No doubt, the Giants look like the better team right now, but this is a game we can take if we play like we're capable of playing. I'd feel a lot better if Murray were in the lineup and we'd be getting more 2nd and 6s and 3rd and 2s, though. We don't have a prayer throwing into 3rd and longs all day.

i think we match up well against the giants
our CBs can stop their WRs
their secondary is weak

we can win if we stop their running game with our front 7 and score early

I hate that we haven't won one yet at home, mostly because of how we've lost.

The first defeat was a lot of flukey plays that kept the Giants in the game, and a couple of head scratching plays on the final drive(Eli's passes batted at the line of scrimmage only to make it to the receiver anyway) to put the kicker into position to win the game.

The second was one in which the Cowboys lead by quite a bit before losing Romo to a collar bone injury.

And then the third was a monumental collapse.
