I am still undecided on which D-line player will be best pick. All I can hope for is that the one that is picked becomes the most productive of the bunch. I don't want to see Ware picked and fail only to watch Merriman rip up the NFL for the next 10 years. Or vice versa.

Please let us make the right pick!

I am sure that if we draft Marcus Spears at eleven instead of their personal favorite, there will be a few Chicken Littles who will start making the comparisons.

I would still take Ellis over Moss any day of the week.

How much has Moss helped the Vikings? They won any SuperBowls lately? Is he still on the team?

Yeah, I'd still take Ellis over Moss.

I was upset in 1998 because I wanted Keith Brooking and we took Ellis instead.

Let it go man...what exactly did Moss help Minnesota do anyway? I remember them getting their arse's handed to them in the postseason a couple of times and team cancer Moss loafing and pouting on the field...

No such thing as a can't miss prospect. NFL has seen an ample share of highly touted players considered can't miss that have bombed out big time. You draft the best guy you can and just hope he can live up to the billing

I wanted moss, but did not complain afterwards...no use to cry over spilt milk.

However for those that say what has moss done to get the vikings to the superbowl...I would ask, what has ellis done to get the cowboys there?

That is not excusing the headache that moss has become nor taking away from the quality of character that Ellis is....but it is just a lame thing IMO to say that about moss when defending ellis.

I don't hang onto the Moss thing as much as others. I really wanted him at the time. I think if he would have been a Cowboy back then, he could have extended Aikman's career and we could have avoided the Galloway situation that cost draft picks. I guess my point is that I want to get lucky and pick the right player thus solving the decade long DE problem. If we miss, we may have to watch another player excel at the same position.

On the positive side, I think we got the best RB of the three top ones available last year plus the extra first round pick. Can we do the same with DEs?

The Moss of the draft is @42 Vincent Jackson, dont pass on this guy, Take him because he will be gone soon after.

At least Ellis is still on the team :)

DavidDidn't he get a bad team with no defense to the playoffs every year he was there? I may be wrong. I didn't want Moss at the time so there's no reason to get upset over not taking him.

He may go mid to late 3rd round.

I don't see a Moss type player in this draft.

Moss may be the best "skilled" WR of all time.

And how many playoff vicotories has Greg Ellis presided over? Randy Moss has helped carry his team. He elevates any offense he's a part of. One player can't win a game by himself, but he can do more than his share. Moss routinely dominates his position and makes his teammates better.

The comparison is a joke; it's not Ellis' fault, but don't even try to compare them.

1996: Moss - In College. Dallas - Spanks Minnesota 41-14
1997: Moss - In College. Dallas - 6-10 and in desperate need of WR help
1998: Moss - NFC Championship. Dallas: One and done vs. Arizona who was CRUSHED by Minnesota
1999: Moss - divisional playoffs. Dallas - One and done vs. Minnesota
2000: Moss - NFC Championship. Dallas - 5-11
2003: Moss - Sits home. Dallas - One and Done.
2004: Moss - Divisional Playoffs. Dallas - 6-10
