almost identical to Dr Z, expects Dallas to land Ware/Merriman and Spears some way or another...

also, radio guy was asking him what teams to look out for 2005, King said he has a good feeling about Dallas because of the offseason we've had and what will happen this week..said he expects a much better defense on the field

not much, but thats what he said about us (courtesy of 790 The Zone in Atlanta)

Thanks David.

My question is how does everyone feel with only two picks on day one? Because to get two of the three we'll have to trade our 2nd round pick.

maybe, but maybe not...they could trade a 2nd or 3rd next yr to move up if they need to...

and dont rule out a player trade either...I wouldnt be totally shocked if Glover were traded, especially if we can get a late 1st or a 2nd plus something else...this is a very weak DT draft and he is still an excellent player...if parcells is switching defenses now is a good time to shop him

Points-wise speaking, the #42 pick and the #20 pick roughly = #9 pick.

That's one hell of a move up. Especially in a buyer's market draft where every team is looking to trade down.

I really like Glover, but the thought of using players who are good (but don't really fit in our plans) to move up and target specific players is a very good one. I'd like to see that.

Still, Glover is a great football player, and an even better person and teammate. I'd hate to see him go.

He would rotate in at end and NT in a 3-4 and I think he'd be **** good at it.

1) Merriman
1) Spears
2) Matt Jones or Brodney Pool

...how nice would that be

It would be great other than Spears probably going higher than 20, not wanting Matt Jones on the first day and Pool not dropping that far.

no Matt Jones on day one, especially in 1st or 2nd rd...

I've only seen DJ play only once or twice but it was interesting that the entire panel on ESPN's draft special thought the same regarding his tackling.
