IRVING — Chris Jones will not have surgery on the partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. That”s the good news.
The bad? He was placed on the team’s injured reserve list Wednesday after punting 12 times this season.
“It is disappointing,” he said. “You can’t change any of it. That’s part of football. Stuff like that happens to guys week in and week out. I tried to push through it and hoped it would get better to where I could punt effectively. I know it has gotten a lot better since the injury happened. But it is still lingering there. Hopefully, now I can take this time to get completely healthy.”
