I just saw Skip and Stephen A. arguing between Matt Ryan and Peyton Manning for MVP so far this season, so I started looking into who might actually win it this year. I came up with 5 guys:

Matt Ryan- 17 TD, 6 INT, 2018 yds, 68.7 com%, 103.0 rating, 7-0 team record. Unanimous MVP through the first half of the season because of team record, but I don't think it will hold up. He'll win it if no other team finishes within 3 games of the Falcons. Still has a lot to prove in his young career but this may be the season he puts himself into elite company.

Aaron Rodgers- 21 TD, 4 INT, 2165 yds, 69.0 com%, 107.9 rating, 5-3 team record. I think he's the best QB in the league. After an awful start the Packers have won 3 straight. Also, MVP voters will probably remember that Seattle loss. Green Bay is the hottest team right now. They also humiliated an elite Texans team. This team will go on a massive win streak and Rodgers will continue to add onto his legacy.

Peyton Manning- 17 TD, 4 INT, 2113 yds, 68.5 com%, 109.0 rating, 4-3 team record. He has to make the playoffs to have a chance. Definitely will win Comeback Player award. Truly unbelievable season and this will add to his case for greatest ever, but it may not be enough for MVP. Benefits from playing in an easy division. He won't win if his team record isn't better than 9-7 or 10-6. Also, it's hard to say how much he turned the team around since they did make the playoffs under Tim Tebow last year. Nonetheless, truly incredible season for the future Hall of Famer.

Tom Brady- 16 TD, 3 INT, 2408 yds, 65.3 com%, 100.6 rating, 5-3 team record. Has always benefited from playing in an easy division. However, if he doesn't finish with an impressive team record he probably has little to no chance at winning MVP. That being said, Patriots still have a good chance of going on a win streak and getting a first round bye. Another great season for Brady.

Ben Roethlisberger- 14 TD, 3 INT, 1987 yds, 66.8 com%, 101.4 rating, 4-3 team record. Will Ben ever win an MVP? I doubt it. He certainly doesn't get the credit he deserves being a two time champ. Might be having the most impressive season out of any QB because the Steelers are not a very good team this year and he has kept them alive. If they can pass the Ravens and finish with an impressive record I think Ben can win it. But I really don't see Ben getting the regular season credit he deserves.

GB almost got beat by Jax, don't know what happened. I'll go with Manning.

I watched the of the Packers - Jax game... once again Aaron Rodgers was absolutely brutalized -- he was knocked to the ground more times that I could could count.

He has been sacked 28 times so far and is on pace for 56.

IMHO, the fact Rodgers is on pace for 42 TDs and 8 interceptions and a 110 QB rating considering the duress he is under is testimony how amazing that dude is.

His O-line has been trash for years. Plus he's had no running game and no defense. Basically all the reasons fans say we can't win, he has been winning in spite of.

My personal opinion is the Packers are slipping. Ted Thompson is supposed to be a genius, however, the Packers just might have the worst offensive line in the entire NFL. They can't run it a lick and it's a jailbreak on Aaron Rodgers on just about every pass play.

That's why I mentioned Rodgers as a possible MVP candidate. Some day fans are going to look back on his stats and wonder how the heck Rodgers managed such an incredible TD to INT ratio while being sacked/hit/pressured so much.
