PHILADELPHIA — Charlie Peprah didn’t just make his debut with the Cowboys on Sunday. He actually started. Peprah, a seventh-year veteran safety, had been inactive for the first two games since he was acquired Oct. 24. On Sunday, the former Plano East standout was featured in the Cowboys’ nickel and dime substitution packages.

Peprah hadn’t played in an NFL game since Jan. 15, 2012, when he was a member of the Green Bay Packers.

In his first game back since undergoing knee surgery in the off-season, Peprah authored an uneven performance. He made had a pass breakup, jarring the ball loose from Philadelphia wideout Jeremy Maclin in the first quarter. The big hit caused Maclin to leave the game temporarily. Later, however, Peprah missed an assignment, leading to Maclin’s 44-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.

He looked pretty good athletically, you have to expect a blown assignment or two from him being so new to this scheme.

Give him some time, might be a find and a serious upgrade from McCray.

I wondered who blew the coverage.

That was bad.

Good athlete but we cant afford any more blown coverages like that. Reminded me of the many breakdowns from last season...

Yeah seems to be the theme of this season... Ups and downs.
