they will not take Matt Jones in the 1st day! We have so many other pressing needs. He is also a player that will have to learn a new position and will take some time to do so

:banghead:(a) There's no need to "salvage something" after you got the Best Player at the Biggest Need position on your team at #11.

(b) If we do draft Matt Jones at #20, then there will definitely be the need to salvage something (mainly the mindset of myself and almost every other member of Cowboys Nation).

This guy is truly a player. He has the insticts of a true pass rushing defensive end and also played at a level of competition that will make him well suited to adjust rather quickly to the NFL. Now there are some lingering questions about injuries but this kid can flat out play on the corner. He is not as suited as a run stopper as Spears so I guess it will come down to the staff's preferences.

Says who? BEST player? Ware??? LOFL! Lightweight DE from a small school that dominated community college level players. Riiiiiiiight. Scouts, Inc. had Pollack as the #1 DE. His resume' and the conference he plays in seems to back that up.

Last season, Troy State played LSU and DeMarcus Ware dominated Andrew Whitworth at LT. Whitworth will be a first round pick next season. That game was very close and it was a huge surprise. That game put Ware on the map. Do your research. I think we hit home runs with both of our first round picks.

How stupid of me. You're right. One game means much more than another guy's entire college career.

Says who? Jerry Jones for one. He was just on the ticket and said so.

OK for starters Ware is a LB on our team.

I don't care what Scouts, Inc. said about anybody. They are not well thought of and Pollack has short arms.

Please back your posts up with salient points. You've already been shot down on one of them. If you think he didn't play well against decent competition, post the proof.

Whatever, fellas. Pollack will have a 10 sack year and we will still be wondering why we can't pressure the QB.

Enjoy the Kool-Aid.

Enjoy the Kool-Aid.Ah and the hopelessly optimistic prediction makes its' appearance. Also other wise known as the last resort of a man standing behind a completely destroyed argument. Keep up the good fight Tass.

How so? You dudes didn't do anything except shout "NU-UHH!!!". That's your idea of winning an argument, eh? Ware DID play well against decent competition, he just didn't have enough of those games to show anything approaching consistency against the A-level players.

This is what the board is for. Others express opinions, I express mine. I was saying we passed over a proven, award winning CONSISTENT talent for a smallish guy who had one good game against a decent opponent. No need to be such a group of homers about it. Sheesh.
