not shocking.

All it took was a horrible performance by our defense

I think Foles is pretty good, will only get better and I hate the fact that Philly appears to have found a QB so quickly.

Well he only looked good against us so I don't think he should get too much praise

Foles is good.

But, I think that this is a setup move to keep Andy Reid's job because he will say that it was Vick that didn't run his system well and that he needs time to work with Foles after the season.

He helped the offense score the most pts this season which was 26

Under Vick the highest the offense scored was 24

So does Philly cut Vick or trade him? Wonder if they can "Kolb" another team.

Easy on the anointing oil. He was under no pressure most of the game last night, and Brown was gashing Dallas on the ground.

The season over for them--not just in theory (like with us) but in actuality.

Time for them to see what they have going forward.

True but then Vick I don't think will ever be the answer at QB. Foles may or may not be the answer.

In all honesty Foles really can't be judged until he plays in a game that has.....meaning

All the games he has looked good in had no meaning which means it was like playing in a park. Four games in preseason and last night

As I said I don't know if he is or isn't the man for the starting job. What I have seen from him is a pretty good. Vick I have seen a lot of him over the years and outside of his ability to run I have never been overly impressed with him.

Mike Vick is just that bad.

He's careless with the ball, not really all the bright and isn't as fast as he used to be.

I pray they are too stupid to cut him. The best thing that franchise could do would be to ditch Vick immediately and start building things behind their rookie QB.

Vick has played horrid and has the mindset to match. He was asked about a redzone turnover a while back and his reply was "it was meant to be".

He's got a loser's mentality.

I suspect he'll get cut and possibly end up playing for Rex Ryan or maybe just join a new flock in Arizona.

What?

That's absurd.

At the very least you look at what you got from Vick in the "meaningless" games and you look at what you are now getting from Foles.

You judge him based on how he performs, simple as that.

If the qualifier of "meaningless" game is applied, Joey Harrington would still be the QB in Detroit because they were so horrid that his games never had meaning and if you can't get an honest read until they do have meaning, how do you get rid of a guy?

Let's tap the breaks there. This was said about Kolb as well and we see how that worked out for them. A lot of QBs and RBs look good out of the gate and then they fall off the face of the earth. People were calling Cam last year the second coming and now look. Give it some time. Same with RG3.

Just a few years ago, they had McNabb, Vick and Kolb. Now, after this season, they will have none of them. And the other 2 could be done in the league pretty soon along with McNabb. Things change quick in the NFL.

But no way with a 3-9 record do you throw Vick back out there. He will never take another snap for the Eagles. For one, is not good. I have stood by my views that Eagles would go nowhere with him. He's not reliable and he is very erratic. See what you have in Foles. But like someone said, these games, he has no pressure at all because their season is long gone. Winning is not their number one priority right now and some would even say, it'd be better for them to lose out but that's another discussion.

Well I can atleast say that Vick has played when it mattered and Foles hasn't.

So I want to see him in September of next year before I give him praise

You don't get to really judge him until he plays in a meaningful game. Everyone thought Kolb was the answer until he was officially named the starter in 2010 and couldn't get it done.

What foles is doing now means nothing because they already know they are not going to the playoffs so he can't really be judged until next season

It's a big difference between coming into to start in midseason for a injured QB and being named the starter before the season starts.

Exactly, you are not going to really see what you have in Foles until he starts in a game when their season is still alive.

Vick has played when it matter and had not been great. He is a runner with a big arm, outside of that it was McCoy who has been the main weapon for Philly since Vick took over.

I think Vick has been one of the top athletes in the NFL but I don't think much of him as a QB.

As for Foles again I don't know if he will turn out to be the guy but what he has shown is worth taking a longer look at.

This isn't surprising in the least. I'm surprised it took them till today to announce it officially.

Because he started to look better against teams with bad defenses

Carolina

Dallas

Not a honest evaluation in my opinion so let's see how he looks against teams fighting for playoff spots

Tampa

Cincy

Washington

Not a bad move. Vick will be cut end of the season anyway. Let them see what Foles is made of.
