The Pats look like the team I thought they would look like when they get pushed around especially against NFC teams: Soft. Brady gets some pressure in the pocket and their receivers get shoved around a little bit and suddenly they aren't scoring 40 points. The Pats are really good against these soft finesse AFC teams but teams like the Giants, Seahawks and now 49ers push these guys around and they don't look so invincible.

the Niners are killing the Pats....if not for 2 turnovers in the red zone, a missed Akers FG and being conservative before the half, the score could be even more lopsided.
The Pats are looking like the Texans did against them last week.
31-3 Niners in the 3rd.

He's been one of the top DT/DE's in the league for damn near a decade. Sadly, he played on a poor Bengals team for many years, then transitioned to a bad 49ers team. Now that they are a good 49ers team, he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.

There's a reason why they lost those Super Bowls. Finesse offense gets exposed by physical football. When they won their first three Super Bowls, they would wear out opposing teams but the post-Spygate Pats have been the teams that end up getting worn down themselves. They are built for the regular season

They were knocked out in the 1st round two straight years...then in 2011 they lucked into playing a Tebow-gimmick Broncos team and narrowly escaped the Ravens by way of a Lee Evans dropped TD. And it's not even like the Ravens are all-world either

and it had nothing to do with a miraculous play by Eli avoiding the rush and then Tyree catching the ball one handed on his helmet.....and in the 2nd, Welker dropped a pass he normally catches and the Giants were faking injuries to waste time.

Every elite team this season has laid an egg at least once, but if there is one team I'd name as most dangerous - it's the 49ers.

I remember last year, when people gave Garrett all sorts of grief for continuing to throw against Detroit when we were up 24 with 10 min left in the 3rd quarter, instead of just running the ball. The argument was, that at that point, the game is basically in hand, and even if you go 3 and out (repeatedly), you count on your defense to help close it out for you. This game is an example of why you keep your foot on the pedal, because if you're going against a team with a powerful offense, they can close that gap.
Now, people may argue that the Detroit offense wasn't what this NE offense is. True, although it was still very explosive. And our defense wasn't near what this SF defense is.

Only the Broncos have somewhat of a chance but it would take a lights out effort from their defense. I don't think the Pats would play the same way against them in Houston like they did on Monday, Ravens are terrible, and the wildcard teams don't scare anyone.
