Many here have argued it's been too long since our last championship to be considered America's Team or even an elite team...many threads on that - I have a different target.
The Steelers may be one of those overrated teams. Me: I remember when the Cowboys could not beat them in the 70's, freak passes from Bradshaw or smash-mouth football from Joe Greene and Jack Lambert - they kind of traumatized me.
Right now they are trailing the Ravens and Bengals who are not particularly hot either.

That organization has been very successful I hate it when some try to belittle the accomplishments of the Cowboys I refuse to belittle theirs. Pitt came in to this game as one of the top defenses in the NFL and had not given up a 300 yard passing day this year. Cowboys just out played them today.

Both teams have great history.

^ Granted, they have won a couple of SBs the last decade, won more SBs than anyone else, have the best record since 1970.
Was attempting to say they are not the Top Five or a team you fear playing against like they have at times in the past.
Not trying to say they are wheels off.

do u mean this year's team or the franchise in general?
The franchise is not overrated. They, along with Dallas are the two most popular franchises in the NFL. I still feel that Pittsburgh should replace Detroit on Thanksgiving.
As for this year, the Steelers have dealt with so many injuries. Even with all the injuries, their D is still one of the best, well except for today. And as you saw today, their offense can be quite explosive.

The Cowboys beat them so that automatically makes them overrated or not good. If we had lost, it would've been a big game against a good team. Don't you get it?

Sounds like a thread from the media. The steelers are a good team that got beat today.

The Steelers are 7-7, with only two wins against winning teams (Ravens and Bengals)
Was attempting to say they are not a dangerous team this season, but neither was it to mean they are really bad like the Raiders.

The Steelers are an older team, but they're still solid and a very good organization.

The Stealers got abused by an awful San Diego team last week

...both team's defences struggled.
Ours just struggled less and succeeded at the right time.

Yup. I don't want to take anything away from our win today because we played great... but Pittsburgh is really falling apart. That same San Diego team just got totally destroyed by a pathetic Panthers team. Pittsburgh is currently in disarray.

I think the Bengals have won maybe 5 of 6.
But yes, the Steelers are currently a bit overrated.

No.
Their defense has been great for years, they don't suddenly suck just because Romo and Murray made them look bad. Romo dropped 341 passing yards on them, but they've only allowed an average of 180 yards passing against them this season.

This week, though, their coach had them really ready to go. So that was different.

True but then Pitt defense entered the game ranked 1st in the NFL and had not given up a 300 yard passing day in 21 games.
