Players who would obviously be worth considering if they're still on the board when the Boys' 4th round pick comes around (these players are listed in order of their draft grade on that board):
Anttaj Hawthorne, DT, Wisconsin... think this guy regrets those last few bong hits?? A first round talent before the drug test falls to the 4th round... I rather doubt the Boys will be looking at their defensive front 7 with this pick, anyway...
Ernest Shazor, S/OLB, Michigan... sometimes, being a tweener hurts, and it sure seems to be hurting Shazor... I think he has the potential to be a very good SS, but of course, the Cowboys are more in need of a FS... and some scouts see him as an OLB...
Robert McCune, ILB, Louisville... can't figure out why this workout warrior has droped this far... though I said just two paragraphs earlier that I don't see the Cowboys looking at DL or LB with the 4th pick, I also recognize that the depth at ILB isn't that great if a move to a 3-4 IS in the works, which it appears to be...
Fred Gibson, WR, Georgia... Gibson might be a terrific value with the Cowboys' 4th round pick...
Claude Terrell, OG, New Mexico... massive widebody that the Cowboys really like...
Chris Kemoeatu, OG, Utah... another massive widebody that the Cowboys really like...
Ray Willis, OT, Florida State... might be the best offensive lineman for the Cowboys' needs, a big RT with a mean streak that reminds me of Erik Williams in his prime... he mean streak part, that is...
Sean Considine, FS, Iowa... a true need pick for the Boys, but the guy has talent...
My top 3 choices for this pick would be Considine, Willis and Gibson... all 3 would address team needs, all 3 would be good value in this range...
