It certainly is a passing league, but did anyone else notice the resurgence this year for Running Backs?

Not bad when you look at the numbers.

There will most likely be at least 10 different RBs that will have 1200+ yards rushing AND a per carry average of 4.5 or better.

They are:
A Peterson
M Lynch
J Charles
A Morris
D Martin
C Johnson
S Ridley
CJ Spiller
R Rice
F Gore

A Foster will have 1400+ but his ypc is 4.0
And that doesn't even include the 5-6 other RBs that will exceed 1000 yards--though that stat is not too tough to get in a 16 game season.

Anyway....not a bad season for RBs.

It makes me so happy.

I hated how last year the league looked like it turned into the Arena league and the only way to win was to flood the field with WRs.

The NFL is much more fun to watch, IMHO, with a variety of offenses including ones that can run the ball successfully to win ball games.

what this really speaks to is that the D is only trying to stop the pass because you can't win consistently running anymore. charles and hillis went for 300+ yards the other day and still lost.

what you really need from the running game now days is to pick up the hard yard to move the sticks and get you into manageable 3rd down situations.
