We need a RB with Felix most likely walking and Murrey can not stay healthy.
No sense IMO, to go free agency and spend big money for a RB when they are a dime a dozen in the draft.

Draft:
Giovani Bernard
Eddie Lacy
Stepfan Taylor
Andre Ellington
Montee Ball
Johnathan Franklin
Zac Stacy
Knile Davis
Kenjon Barner

Dallas may need two backs. Felix is gone, and Tanner should be gone too.

We need a change of pace back for Murray's hard running style. A quicker back. A Darren Sproles or Jacquizz Rodgers type. Lance Dunbar may take on that role.

But we still need a big bruiser type to pick up short yardage and goal line TD's. Would love Trey Millard from Oklahoma, if he declares. But Zach Line from SMU would be great.

I can live with a Murray, Zach Line, and Dunbar backfield.

4th rd should be where we take our Rb off the board. Barner or Taylor should be there

Barner or Taylor would be good compliments to Murray

I like Mike Gillislee from Florida also.

Ray Graham might be a steal in the 4th or 5th.

That's who I like! Mike just seems like a complete back to me.

I agree. The games I watched he displayed power and speed. Played injured alot also. I like his game.

I just see him as an every down back that can run catch block and be a game changer. He was pretty much the whole offense for Florida this year. Just like his game and we did pretty well with another Florida back. I would love to sign some solid young oline in FA and use this draft to get a guys like Landry Jones and Mike. Just my opinion.

I like the Bell kid from Mich. State. I know some will say he has no speed, but he is a workhorse and always seems to make yards.

We need football players and not projects.

Rex Burkhead. RB, Neb 5-11 #211 - tough RB which we don't have

RB always has intriguing choices and as long as they didnt go to Alabama you seldom have to overpay for them.

I would be interested in replacing Felix with another ARK RB. Knile Davis was terrible this year returning from injury but he is a physical freak with speed galore and great size. Most importantly he might be there in round 5.

If Davis isn't there when you want him, LaVeon Bell is a legit 240+ pound back that bangs and wears on you. Gonna guess he could be quite a pass blocker too. (something we definitely need to replace if Felix leaves)

Other short list guys I like:
Mike Gillissipee(sp?)
Marcus Lattimore --- issue will be health and how far he falls. Best talent in this RB class if he is 100% healthy but we arent picking RB at 18.
I'd give my 2nd for Lattimore even though it is a luxury position. Really talented player who will be a difference maker if healthy.

Burkhead: Tough but lacks great speed/quickness. Might be a good WCO type back. Will block for you and will run hard. That toughness leads to injuries though.

Christine. Talented TAMU back that also hasn't stayed healthy. Could end up a steal int he draft. Nice rotational piece IMHO.

Ray Graham. Talented runner but fairly small and some wear and tear from college. Good vision and interesting rotational guy with speed/vision to make big plays.

I would go Ark. RB but not Davis. My choice in 5th or 6th would be Dennis Johnson. Has power, receiving skills and kick returner. Not great but an all around good player

Johnson will drop some jaws on the next level with his toughness. My biggest concern with him is ball security, something that can be coached up though.

Count me in the Mike Gilislee fan club! Just see this kid as a stud. Just a good football player! If you can play for a coach like Will Muschamp you are. A Garrett right kind of guy no doubt. This kid was very productive and really was Floridas offense. Think about who they had at QB driskel who got better as the season went on and will probably end up being a very good QB, but he didn't scare teams and it was Gilislee teams were worried about and he got it done. Love the heart.

I'm convinced Lattimore won't get drafted until round 4 or later.

He won't be healthy enough to play for a few seasons according to doctors, and this is the 2nd major knee injury he has suffered. I wouldn't draft him until the 4th or later. (In my opinion this is completely different from mcGahee's injury where he still went in the 1st)

Depends,

I would say DE, DT, C, G, T, S all come before it, but you could just say OL, DL, RB :laugh2:

I'm on board with taking an RB in the 4th, and think Barner would be a good fit. One thing to take into consideration, not only would a fast guy be a nice compliment to Murray, but Dez is the only big play threat on this offense. Adding a guy with speed to draw some of the defense' attention could go a long way.

I disagree.

Felix is likely gone and neither of the two young guys have proven anything. Murray has had injury issues.

Improving the running game should be the number one priority this offseason. Luckily, there is a long list of good RBs in the upcoming draft.

I agree. If Felix does not return the Dallas has to pick up a RB. I think they could get a quality back later in the draft like Rex Burkhead
