Wow. I didn't expect that.

Bad news, .. he was one reason that the Ravens manned up to beat the steelers recently.

He looks pedestrian these days unless somebody runs right at him. Smart move by him.

He'll come back in the middle of next season.

That's too bad. He's always been one of the most enjoyable players to watch.

He should have retired a few years ago. Also loved his BS ploy of acting like he'd come to the Cowboys, just to get a new deal with the Ravens.

Love ray. One of my favorite non cowboys. Great passion for the game.

Great player. I think he waited maybe a year or two too long. But still arguably the greatest MLB in NFL history.

Another big mouth headed to the NFL Network with the rest of his "dawgs".

That sucks. If it makes him happy and he thinks it's the right thing that's all that matters though.

Yep, like the guy, but lost his range.

Good. As long as he kicks Marshall off the pregame shiws..

Hate to see him gone, great personality of the game.

Some will lessen him cause of recent play (at his age it was still pretty good) and off the field stuff, but on game day there is no other player I would rather have on my D than Ray Lewis.

Helluva player. Probably killed a man, but what a football player.

tremendous leader. Made others around him better. Rookies entered that lockeroom and immediatley knew that this thing is "serious"....and Ray is the main reason why.

He shed blockers like murder charges. Seems like a lock for the NFL network.

A tip of the cap to one of the 5 best defensive players I've ever seen.

Not true dude.

Yes you knocked him out but I think he will still play in the playoffs. :)

By the way I love him. Some in New York claims he is as good as LT and even maybe better than him. No comment on that side.

Rumor is now...

Ray Lewis is set to sign multi-year deal with ESPN...after the season.
