...4th year Jr. who is their 5th rated back in this deep RB class. They really like him, say he's a student of the game, quiet personality, quality person. Instinctive runner with good vision and balance. Powerful, tackle-breaking player who runs low and with good leverage.

Summary: Should be an every-down feature back on the next level.

Nice, very nice pick. I follow SEC ball and watched him in the Music City Bowl against Bama. MVP of the game, rushed for 187 yards, Bama couldn't stop him. I love the pick because JJ needs a compliment back and if JJ is injured we needed a RB who can come in as an every down type player. I was really concerned about this last night. Parcells knows RBs.

Parcells really must have liked him if He picked Barber ahead of Canty
Considering how much Parcells liked Canty to give up what we did.

We really did not give up that much. We gave up a 2005 5th round pick and a 2006 4th round pick for a 2005 4th round pick(Canty) and a 2006 6th round pick. Considering what we got, we got the better end of that deal.
